The regular meeting °of the Board of Public Safety was held on Saturday
T'uly 28, 1934 at 2 :00 P. -IT. All members present.
Minutes &o proved as read.
Bills bearing the following requisition numbers were approved
07415 07370 07445 07206 07332 07487 07584 07589 07588 07595 07586_07494
also the claims of Ed. MIcCorm ck $7196 and X1.10 and Dr. E. L: Tohnston
$56.50 a total of all claims of $184.08.
FIRE DEPARTI, NT:
Fire Chief, Roy A. Knoblock, present.
Bids on fire hose tiFaere •examined but the letting of the contract was
deferred to the next meeting .pending test of samples by Chief Y-noblock.
ELECTRICAL DEPARTIaENT:
Superintendent, Vim. F. Qualls, reported the activities of :::is department.
POLICE DEPART=`I- EPET`w :
Acting C lief, Horace r,W.Hamilton, present.
Messrs. Robt. Elbel, Jr. and Harry Roop members of the LaSalle Rifle
and Pistol Club appeared before the Board and. tendered the use of
their rifle and pistol ranges for the use of the Police Departi-aent
which offer was acdepted.
Mr. Trost brought to the attention of the Board a dangerous condition
existing in the alley between-Rush and i.,Iarnetta Sts. south of Dayton
St. due to speeding and on motion by Iris. Trost, seconded by 1:1r. Gadacz
it was decided that signs limitir screed of automobiles to 10 miles
an hour be put up and the Chief was instructed to enforce this regulation
Officers Lucius La Fortune and Kenneth Logan appeared before the board
in behalf of the Fraternal Order of Police petitioning permission to
hold an F. 0. P. picnic which request was granted them on motion by
Ir. Gadacz, seconded by IVIr. T;�IeSorley.
The application of Rcllph, R. Tyler was approved and . ordered placed on
file.
