FIRE DEPARTI-11ENT:
Tire Chieef, Roy A. Knoblock, present.
Nineteen bids for coal for the fire department were opened. On motion
by Mr. Gadacz, seconded Mr. Trost it was decided that 6x3l' Indiana 4th
vein coal be purchased at the price of $7.00 per ton,
On motion by Mr. Trost, seconded by Mr. Gadacz, it was decided to. let the
contract for the coal in equal shares to the Superior Coal Co. and to the
Harry Ullery Coal Co.
ELECTRICAL DEPARTIVIENT:
Superintendent, Win. F. Qualls, present and the activities of his depart-
ment discussed.
POLICE DEPART TENT:
Acting Chief, Horace M. Hamilton, present and the activities of-the,Police
Department discussed.
The dhief reported that Officer Lafayette Riddle -wa$'absent due to an
accident suffered by him in Benton Harbor, Mich. On Notion by 11r. Gadacz,
seconded by 'Mr. Trost, it was decided that he shall not be co_ y�ipensated for
the time during which he is absent.
