BEND.
TO WHOM IT MAY CONCERN,
I'M WRITING YOU TODAY TO HAVE THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND CONSIDER RENAMING THE ACCESS
ROAD INTO SOUTH BEND EAST SIDE BASEBALL SOFTBALL ASSOCIATION, YOUTH BASEBALL
PARK LOCATED ON THE EAST SIDE OF SOUTH BEND OFF OF HICKORY RD. THE CURRENT ROAD
IS KNOWN As KELLER.
WE ARE ASKING FOR THIS NAME CHANGE FOR A COUPLE OF PURPOSES, THE FIRST AND MOST
IMPORTANT REASON IS BECAUSE THE ADDRESS IS VERY MISLEADING TO OUR NEW FAMILIES
AND TO FAMILIES VISITING FOR SEVERAL TOURNAMENTS WE HOST THROUGHOUT THE SEASON.
IF YOU WERE TO GOOGLE OR YOUR CHOICE OF MAPPING FIND YOURSELF OUT NEAR THE
AIRPORT. THIS HAS AND CONTINUES TO CAUSE ISSUES YEAR AFTER YEAR. WHAT WE HAVE
DONE IS BEGUN TO USE THE ADDRESS OF THE RESIDENT LOCATED JUST SOUTH OF OUR
ENTRANCE. AGAIN MISLEADING AND MOST LIKELY NOT THE FAIREST TO OUR NEIGHBORS,
SECONDLY THE REASON WE ARE REQUESTING THIS NAME CHANGE IS TO HONOR A MEMBER OF
OUR PARK. RAE SCHREINER HAS BEEN APART OF THE LEAGUE FOR OVER 20 YEARS AND HAS
BEEN VOLUNTEERING HIS TIME TO MAINTAIN OUR GROUNDS. WE ARE VERY PROUD OF OUR
FACILITY AND MR. SCHREINER AND WOULD LIKE TO HONOR HIM WITH THIS NAME
RECOGNITION.
AS PRESIDENT OF THE BOARD AND WITH THE. SUPPORT OF THE ENTIRE PAST AND PRESENT
BOARD MEMBERS WE WOULD LIKE YOU TO CONSIDER NAMING OUR ENTRANCE DRIVEWAY TO
"SCHREINER WAY".'THERE IS A STORY THAT GOES ALONG WITH THE NAME WE HAVE CHOSEN
AND WOULD BE HAPPY TO SHARE WITH ANYONE INTERESTED. PLEASE LET ME KNOW IF THIS
COULD POSSIBLY HAPPEN?' 1 APPRECIATE THE CONSIDERATION AND LOOK FORWARD TO
