HomeMy WebLinkAbout05/05/1934 Board of Public Safety MinutesREGULAR MEETING The regular meeting of the Board of Public Safety was held at 2 :00 P. M. on May 5, 1934. All members present. Regular Clerk of the Board being unable to be present, the minutes of the meeting were recorded by Assistant Chief Leo Berner. The reading of the minutes of the last meeting was suspended to the next regular meeting. Bills, bearing the following requisitions were approved: 02723 02720 0270' also I'& M Electric Cots claims for $45.20 and $19.64, a total of all bills of $158.62. FIRE DEPARTMENT: Fire Chief, Roy A. Knoblokk, present and submitted the fire report for the month of April. POLICE DEPAR'RaNT: Acting Chief, H. M. Hamilton, present and submitted the monthly police report. On motion by Mr. McSorley, seconded by 1,1r. Trost and unanimously carried it was decided to buy two new tires for squad car #6. On motion by Mr. Gadacz, seconded by IFJir. McSorley it was unanimously carried that Police Car #8 be overhauled. It was carried that, with the exception of the Park Board money and transfers of money at the Court House, no other transportation of moneys be made by the Police cars. Park Board man must accompany officers when their transfers are made. On motion Mr. Trost, seconded by Mr. McSorley and unanimously carried Theodore Mejer was appointed as Special Officer for the St. Casimir *s parish activities such as dances, plays, etc. On motion made and seconded it was unanimously decided that a STOP sign be placed at the foot of South Bend Ave. at Hill Street. ELECTRICAL DEPARTMENT: Superintendent, WM. F. Qualls, present and the activities of his depa rt- ment discussed. On motion by Mr. Trost, seconded by Mr. Gadacz and unanimously carried it was decided that a traffic signal be placed at the intersection of Angella St. and Dixie Highway North.
