Board met in regular session at 10:00 A.M. All members present.
Representative of the ,Postal Telegraph Company appreared before the Board
remonstrating against the placing or their. -.wire underground.
Petition filed with the Board petitioning for a concrete pavement in the
alley first viest of Park Avenue from West Navarre Street to Lamonte Terrace.
The same was read and referred to the City Engi-veer.
Mr. A. H. Rice filed with the Board &,report of his visit to Indianapolis'
Indiana, as attendant of Indiana 9anitary and Water Supply Association., c I onventiox,
The same was read and placed on file.

In the matter of the hearing on assessment roll and final estimate
on pipe sewer on Eighteenth Street and Mishawaka Avenue from St. Joseph River and
Sixteenth Street to Mishawakaa, Avenue and Nineteenth Street,under Improvement Resolution.
No. 231. In the City of South Bend, Indians,.
In the above matter the Board decided to defer aa,ll, action on same until
March loth. , 1914 at 10:00 A.M.
/ The Board appointed the following gentlemen as a, committeea,s advisory
appraisers for the condemnation of Huey and Elmer Streets. Mr. E. GV Garwood, Herman.
Tehulka and L. C. Whitcomb.
Competitive bids were received for the flooring of the Third (3rd.) floor
of the City Hall. The same was awarded to the Zeigler. --Huff Lumber Company
contract price of...... • . • • •$163.00
Competitive bids were received for the shelving of the storage vaults
in the basement of the City Hall. The same was awarded to the Indiana Lumber. Company
for the contract prase of ........... $24.00
