Board net in regular session at 10:00 A.M. All members present.
The Board ordered the following Public service companies be notified to present a requisi—
tion to the Board of any new construction or resetting of poles.
The Indiana & Michigan Electric .Company, The .Home Telephone Company, Postal. Telegraph
✓ Company, Western Union Telegraph Company, Central Union .Telephone Company and the
American Telegraph and Telephone Company.

✓ Petition filed with the Board from Citizens asking for a street light to be placed on
Dubail Street at intersection of Hale Avenue. The same was read and placed on file.
f Bids were opened for printing of certification blanks. The same was awarded to L.P.
Hardy for,Sixteen Dollars and dlifty cents ($16.50) per M.

Engineer Piled assessment roll and final estimate for Pipe sewer on Eighteenth
and Mishawaka Avenue from St. Joseph River and Sixteenth Street to gishd aka Avenue and
Nineteenth Street, under Improvement Resolution No. 231. In the City of South Bend,
Indiana.
Resolved, that notices as to the amounts of assessments be published on the
4th., day of February 1914 and on the llth., day of February 1914 in the South Bend
Daily Tribune, stating that this Board will give a hearing on the amount of such assess—
ments at its office in the City Hall on the 24th. , day of February 1914 at 7: 45 P.M.
Resolved further, that the entire work under the above contracts be accepted
and approved and the final estimate thereon allowed. Notice of this resolution shall be
published on the 4th. , day of February* 1914 and on the llth. , day of February 1914 in the
South Bend Daily Tribune, stating that this Board will give a hearing on the acceptance
of such work at its office in the City Hall on the 24th., day of February 1914 at 7:45
P.M.
Engineer ordered to get prices on stationery and printing for his office.
Communication received from ::Superintendent of the Indiana Free Employment office,
Frank J. Murphy. The same was read and placed on file.
Light ordered placed at corner of Donmoyer Avenue and South Michigan Street by the Board.
/ Communication received from Harry E. Josephson, Clerk of the Board of Public Safety
in regard to a new list of electric lights in the City and also the gas lights. The same
was placed on file.
J Board instructed Clerk to write to the Indiana & Michigan Electric Company requesting a
new list of the electric lights in the Cit.J, also to write to the Gas compaW for same.

Meade Street from Division to Holland Street.
