1.The Special Meeting was called to order by Becky Kaiser at 1859 hours. This Special Meeting was set
for the Commission to hear two cases involving potentially dangerous or vicious animals.
2.Case 2018-02 was presented to the Commission first. The City indicated it had a reached a potential
agreement with the owners in Case 2018-02, Jennica Riffle and Cresencio Alvarez. The proposed
agreement was recited to the Commission. After hearing the proposed agreement, the Commission
asked the City and the owners questions and ultimately decided it would take the proposed agreement
under advisement and would issue a decision as to whether to approve the agreement at the upcoming
May 3, 2018 regular meeting.
3.The City then requested to take a brief recess before beginning Case 2018-01 concerning owners Marvin
Tobar and Theresa Brown so that the parties could discuss some additional terms and attempt to reach an
agreement in lieu of a hearing on the case. A brief recess was taken beginning at 1927 hours.
4.At 1952 hours the meeting was called back to order and the next case, Case 2018-01 concerning Marvin
Tobar and Theresa Brown, was presented to the Commission. The City indicated it had a reached a
potential agreement with the owners in Case 2018-01 as well. The proposed agreement was recited to
the Commission. The Commission asked questions of the City and the owners and also heard from the
victim in this case, Sally Goo. The Commission ultimately decided it would take the proposed
agreement under advisement and would issue a decision as to whether to approve the agreement at the
upcoming May 3, 2018 regular meeting.
5.Dr. Betsy Culp made a motion to adjourn the meeting at 2027 hours. Lynne LoSecco and Pam
Wesolowski both seconded the motion. The special meeting was adjourned at 2027 hours.
