Petition received, read and referred to the City Engineer for investigation v for a grade on South Main Street From Ewing Avenue to Donmoyer Street. Hearing given on assessment roll and final estimate for Grade, curb and walk on Olive Street from Elwood Avenue to Keller Street, under Improvement Resolution No. 225, In the City of South. Bend, Indiana. In the above matter no remonstrators appeared and no remonstrances were filed. The Board therefore find that the property assessed in said roll filed November 14th. ,1914 is benefited in the amount of assessments as shown on said roils, and the Board further find that the assessment roll filed November 14th. ,1914 and the final estimate allowed November 14th. ,1914 should be and the same are hereby in all things ratified, con firmed and approved. Now Comes Joseph Szweda Contractor, and agrees to deposit with the Board of Public Works of trie City of South Bend, Indiana, a certified check to the amount of One Hundred ($100.00)Dollars, the same or part of same to be msed by said Board. ,if in the -mac.% judgement they consider the expenditure necessary in the fullfillm.ent of the construction. as prescribed in the General Specifications relating to construction of Grade, curb and walk on Olive Street from = E1vu od"Avenue to Keller Street, under Improvement Resolution. No. 225, if the requirements as specified in the above have not been completed with on. or before the lst. day of May 1914. Standard Oil Company,(an Indiana Corporation) filed with the Board a lien against the Stewart —Sheets Company, Contractors, for material furnished on the Bowman Creek Trunk sewer; for the amount of.............................$1,4063.74) Guarantee Bond signed by T. C. Barnes as Principal and Harry N. Barnes, George H. Whiteman, J. A. Barnes and Clarence E. Lee as surety for Brick Pavement on the Dukhax Street from Arnold Street to Harris Street,under Improvement Resolution No. 249, was approved by the Board. Guarantee bond signed by T. C.Barnes as principal and Harry N. Barnes, J.A. Barnes, George N. Whiteman, and Clarence E. Lee as sureties, for Brick Pavement on. High Street from Sample Street to Broadway Street, under improvement Resolution No. 251, r was approved by the Board. Engineer reported a list of property owners,whoes property was in the fright of way of the proposed William Street opening, the Board ordered same placed on file. By the unanimous consent of the Board the Deputy 'S.treet Commissioner was to be paid $1.50 per day for use of 'his horse and buggy from Janua-y 19th. ,1914. The following communication received from the Board of Public Safety. To the Board of Public Works, r City: — Gentlemen: — The Board of Public Safety of this City has on band about nineteen Thousand feet of new cable, and other new material to an amount of over .Two Thousand Dollars ($2,000.00)1 which according to the Underground Ordinance is to be placed underground by June 1,1914. This Board takes this means of letting your Honorable Board know tkat they are now ready to install their apparatus in tie underground Districts, as soon as the Public Service corporations are ready to receive same, and. we hereby request that a pro— per notice be given said corporations to t ,As effect.
