I All members present. /Petition presented by American Telephone and Telegraph Company for the setting of a pole at corner of First alley West of Michigan Street at Southeast corner of alley on LaSalle Avenue. The same was read and placed on file. Bids were received, opened and read for Brick Pavement on Ford Street from Arnold Street to I.I.& I. Ry, under Improvement Resolution No. 293. OuP. i ous con- / `Mr. A.E. -Martin attorney for the Harmon Coal Company appeared before the Board in the interest of the Vacation of an alley in Kauffman's Addition, under Vacation Resolution No. 21. The Board by unanimous consent agreed to consider same on Tuesday January 13th., 1914 at 10:00 A.M. Guarantee bond for the Brick pavement of Kemble Avenue from Prairie A venue to Ewing Avenue,under Improvement Resolution No. 226. signed by H.N. Banres as Prinicipal and C.E. Lee and G.N. Whiteman as sureties, was approved by the Board. Mr. C.D. Emmons, Manager of the Chicago, South Bend & Northern Indiana Railway 'Oom- pang appeared before the Board in regard to a prospective change of the location of the gates at the Ind. & Mich. Elec. Ceps aide track of the Michigan Central Ry, at the west extremity of the La Salle Avenue Race Bridge. The Board after due consideration de- cided to make a personal investigation of the same. ,/ Guarantee Benda for brick pavement on College Street from Washington Avenue to Michigan Avenue, under Improvement Resolution No. 219,&Concrete- pavement on Lindner Street from Michigan Avenue to LaPorte Avenue, under Improvement Resolution No. 261, and brick pavement on Webster Street from Sample Street to South line of Sample Street, under Improvement Resolution No. 273, the same were signed by Hoban and Reach as P'rinic` pal and American Surety Company bf New York As surety and were approved by the Board. 1 7 President. 22( Friday January 9th.,1914• Board met in regular hearing at 7:45 P.M. All° members present. Hearinggiven on Assessment roll and final estimate for Grade, curb and walk on Various Street ,under Improvement .Resolution No. 242, In the City of South Bend, Indiana. In the above matter no remonstrators appeared and no remonstrances were fi- e'd. The Board therefore find that the property assessed in said roll filed December 23rd.71913 is benefited in the amount of assessments as shown, on said rolls and the Board further find that the assessment roll filed December 23rd.21913 and the final estimate -allowed December 23rd. ,1913 should be and the same are hereby in all things ratified, confirmed and approved. y unanimous consent of the Board it was decided that the supervision and maintenance of the Street rollers should be transferred frCm the Engineering Department to the Street and Alley Department in the future.
