REGULAR MEETING
AUGUST 7. 1933
'Regular meeting held by the Board of Public Safety, Monday August
7, 1933.
Meeting called to order by Mr. G A. Budd at 9 :30 A. M. Mr. 'gym. H.
`frost who was out of the city was not present at this meeting
Bills in the amount of $1,409.07, bearing requisition numbers as
follows:

POLICE DEPARTMENT
The Board unanimously agreed that North Wayne St, be made a prefer-
ential street at the intersection of Sunnyside Ave. The Board order-
ed "STOP" signs installed on Sunnyside Ave., at the intersection. of
North Wayne St.
The Board unanimously agreed that Lincoln �"Vay nest be made a prefer-
ential street at the intersection of LaSalle Ave. The Board ordered
a "STOP" sign installed on LaSalle Ave. at the intersection of Lincoln
Way Nest.
Chief John B. Kuespert presented the monthly report for his department
and also reported the activities for the past week.
Appliection of Harold H. Stanley was approved and ordered placed on
file.
The Board instructed the clerk to write a letter to the City Controller
informing h im that before preparing our 1934 Budget it will be neces
sary for him to advise us how he anticipates to absorbe the unpaid bills
up to and including Dec. 31, 1933. Officer Barany reported that bills
payable at this time amounts to approximately $10,506,00 «.

Chief Roy A. Knoblock reported the activities of his department for the
past week.
ELECTRICAL DEPARTMENT
1 F. Qualls reported the activities of his department fdr the past
week.
WEIGHTS & MEASURES DEPARTMENT
The weekly report of City Sealer Charles J. Burns was examined and
ordered placed on File-.
