Petition received, read and placed on ,file asking for the opening of Wiliiam Street from Colfax Avenue north to Michigan Avenue, thence north from Marion street to Navarre St. The same was referred to the City Engineer for investigation. ,/ Motion made by Mr. Lambert and seconded by Mr. Nied.balski to the effect that the City Engineer prepare a declaratory resolution for the opening of N. William s Street north from ColfaN Avenue to Michigan Avenue, also, to open a street from Marion Street north from point of intersection of Navarre Street and report the same to the Board for their adoption. The following guarantee bonds were released by the Board on brick pavements. The Board of Public Works of the City of South Bend, Indiana, does hereby releases that certain numbered 031957 dated October 28th.2 1912, in the sun of 2,258.00-guarantee- ing the brie pavement on Division Street from Michigan Street to Chapin Street, thereto- fore completed by Hoban & Roach under improvement Resolution No. 90 which said bond was executed and delivered on said date to said City of South Bend, Indiana by Hoban-.& Roach, prinicipals, and American Surety Company of New Fork, surety; hereby releasing and dis- charging the said Hoban & Roach and the said American Surety Company of New York from any and all further liability on said bond so executed and delivered. Dated at South Bend, Indiana this 18th. , day of November 1913. Defrees, principal, and American Surety Company of New Y ork, surety; hereby releasing; and discharging the said C.H.Defrees and the said American Surety Company of New York from any and all °further liability on said bond so executed and delivered. S.R.R. from Chapin Street to Scott Street and alley west of Lafay- ette street from LaSalle Avenue to, Madison Street, theretofore completed by C.H.Defrees under improvement Resolution No. 117,118,120,124 and 175,. respectivelywhich said band was executed and delivered on said date to said City of South Bend, Indiana by C.H.Defrees' prinicipal, and American Surety Company of New York, surety; hereby releasing and discharg- ing the said C.H.Defrees and the said American Surety Company of New York from any and all further liability. on said bond so executed and delivered. H.Defrees, principal, and American Surety Company of New York, surety; hereby releasing and discharging the said C. H.Defrees and the said American Surety Conpny of New York from any and all further liability on said bond so executed and delivered. J The Board of Public Works of the City of South Bend, Indiana, does hereby re- lease that certain bond numbered 031956 dated October 28th., 1912, in the sum of $605.00 guaranteeing the brikki pavements on the first alley west of Franklin Street from Washington Avenue to Jefferson Boulevard, first alley south of Jefferson Boulevard from Main Street to Lafayette Street, second alley south of Wayne Street from St. Joseph Street t Carroll Street and first aley North of North Shore Drive r Michigan Street to Lafayette Street, theretofore completed by Hoban & Roach under improvement Resolutions Nos. 10921222125 and 191, respectively, which said bend was executed and delivered on said date to said City of South Bend, Indiana by Hoban & Roach, principals, and American Surety Company of New York, surety; hereby releasing and discharging the said Hoban and Reach and the said American Surety Company of New York from any and all further liability on said bond so executed and delivered. Dated at South Bend, Indiana, this l8th., day of November 1913. Board of Public Works. The Board ordered lights placed as follows: - To replace the fifty candle power street light at No. 544 N. Scott St. at corner of alley with an are light, also the removal of the street light at the 'cor— ner of Sample Street -and Catalpa Avenue to the corher of Sample and Chapin St. approved. .� The accumulation of debris and dirt on the parkin; at 621 North Lafayette St., accumulated from grading of street. The Board instructed the Street Commissioner 1 to remove the sane. v The Street _ Commissioner was ordered to place a catch basin at the intersection of 6he 1st. alley North of Washington Street extending; from Taylor Street to Williams Street and the lst. alley East of Taylor Street extending from Jefferson Blvd. to Washington Avenue.
