POLICE DEPAR 2ENT
Acting ''hief of Police, Horrace M. Hamilton, appeared before the Board
and reported. the activities of the Police Department for the past week.
The application of Frank D. Baker, residing at 1109- South Mi chip-an Street
was unanimously rejected by the Board for f.^ilure to fill out said
application as required by the rules of the Board.
The Board instructed T'ichael Barandy to write letters of condolence to
Mrs. Delbert Thompson and Ivirs. Charles Farkas and orders copies of said
letter spread. in the minutes of this record.

FIDE DEPARTLI;NT
Chief of Fire Department, Roy Knoblock, reported tre activities of his
department for the past week.
Chief of Fire Department recommended that bids for coal be advertised.
Board unanimously authorized Chief of y'ire Department and Clerk of the
Board, I'lichael Bareny, to advertise for three hundred. twenty tons of
coal, more or less, as required by law.

William F. Qualls, Superintendent of the Electrical Department, appeared before
the Board and presented the weekly time sheets and reporter the activities of
hi s Department I fo r th e pa st w ee k.
Board instructed 1"r. Qualls, to finish the painting of all traffic signals at
the earliest possible time.

Meekly, report was filed by City Sealer, Charles _Burns, and orderer? placed
on file.
