Meeting called to order by Mr. C. _A� Budd at. 9 -15 A. M. All
members present.

POLICE DEPARTY=T
The Board discussed the advisability of combinin ` the Dog Pond
Department and the Street Painting Department. fter this
discussion, the motion was made by Mr. Trost, seconded by Irir.
Gad.acz and unanimously carried that Claude Calloway, who' is
in charge of the Street Painting Department, also serve 'as bog
Pound Vast er at a salary of $100.00 per month to be paid out
of the Dog Pound Appropriation, same to be effective at 12
of clock noon, "ay lst. , 1933. The Board then instructed Michael
Barany, Clerk, to notify Clifford Cripe that his services would
cease at 12 o'clock noon, May lst., 1933, thereby effecting a
saving of $100.00 pe month.
Chief of Police, John B. 'Kuespe rt , informed the Board that he
will suspend on this date Officer wilmount for cause, and further .
stated that he will prefer charepes against said officer at a hear-
ing to be h el d on th e 8th. , d qy o f May, 1933.
FIRE DEPART1trZENT
The Board deferred until the. next meeting the awarding of the
Fire Hose contra for the reason that the City Controller ad-
vised the Board that delinquent tax anticipatory warrants would
be issued in payment of any such contra ct. Board then instruct-
ed the Clerk to notify bidders. of this action.
The application of Harry Thomas was approved and ordered placed
on file.
ELECTRICAL DEPAR`IVINT
Gilliam F. Qualls, Superi .dendent, presented weekly time sheets
for his department and informed the Board that he had moved
police box #324 from the corner of Calvert Street and 11umford
Court to Calvert Street and Leer Street, as requested in a peti-
tion filed by citizens in that vicinity.
WEIGHTS AND MEASURES DEPARTMENT
Weekly report of City Sealer, Chas. J. Burns, was examined and
ordered filed.
