RLGULAR MEET ING
APRIL 3, 1933.
Regular meeting held by the Board of Public Safety Monday,
April 3. 1933.
Meeting called to order by Mr. C. A. Budd at 9 :20 A.M. All
members present.
Minutes of the last regular meeting read and approved.
Bills in the amount of $95.84, bearing requisition numbers
02402 02395 and 02398, were approved.
POLICE DEPARThr1ENT
Chief of Police, John B. Kuespert, presented monthly report
-for his department, also reported on the crime situation
stating that according to statistics the City of South Bend
is among those showing the least number of crimes in the
United States.
Special police commissions were granted to:
Frank Peters
Anton A. Tschida
J. Arthur Haley
Charles W. Bailey
Special police bonds of Frank Peters and Charles W. BaileX
with the Fidelity and Deposit. Company of Marylan were
approved.
Special police commissions of:
Chas. W. Miltenberger, 12/2/30
Alvin A. Bailey, 3/3/30
Robert Kizer, 1/24/30
were cancelled effectivethis date.
FIRE DEPARTMENT
Chief Roy A. Knoblock reported the activities of his depart-
ment for the past week.
EIECTRICAL DEPARTMENT
William F. Qualls, Superintendent, presented weekly time
sheets and reported the activities of his department for
the past week.
Michael Barany, Clerk, presented - receipt from the County
Treasurer in the amount of $22.93 covering one siren
damaged in an accident on Kenneth Logan's motorcycle which
was paid by the State Auto. Insurance Company of Indiana,.
WEIGHTS and .MEASURES DEPARTMENT
Weekly report of City Sealer„ Chas. J. Burns, was examined ,
approved, and ordered filed.
