Meeting called to order By Mr. C. A. Budd at 9 :10 o- clock A.M. All members present. Minutes of last regular meeting were approved. Kue spert, confined to his home on account of illness, was not present at this meeting. On recommendation of Chief Kuespert, the Board authorized Michael Barany, Clerk, to purchase Tear -Gas Guns and equipment in the amount of $155.00 from the Lake Erie Chemical Company . The Board approved Officer William Szymanski's bond #69320 of Glenn Falls Indemnity Company. At the request of Fred Hamilton, Merchant Police, and on recommendation of Chief Kuespert, the Board granted special police commission to Harvey O'Hare. The annual report of the Police Department was presented at this meeting by the Cler$ of the Board, which was examined and ordered placed on file. Weekly report of Policewoman, .Mrs. Minnie Evans, was examined and placed on 'file. The Board issued 1933 Press Cards to newspaper men and reporters as requested by letters from South Bend Tribune, South Bend News Times and Chicago Herald & Examiner. FIRE DEPARTMENT Fire Chief, Roy A. Knoblock, reported the ,activies of his department and stated that the fire truck purchased from the General Fire Truck Company, St. Louis, Mo., ,will be delivered January 4, 1933, at which time a test will be made before truck will be accepted. Fire loss report for the months of October and November 1932 was presented by Chief Knoblock, examined and ordered placed on file. I 11 't i REGULAR MEETING - January 3, 1933. ELECTRICAL DEPARTMENT Mr. Wm. F. Qualls, Superintendent, presented time sheets for the past week and reported on the activities of his depart- ment.
