Dear Ms. Feasel,
I am pleased to inform you that funding has been approved to assist with the nomination of the South
Bend City Cemetery to the National Register of Historic Places. This funding is made available through
the Indiana Landmarks Partners in Preservation National Register Program (PIP). The Partners in
Preservation Program provides assistance to list Indiana’s historic properties on the National Register of
Historic Places.
The funding has been approved up to the amount of $600 plus $100 for eligible expenses. In accordance
with our guidelines Indiana Landmarks will issue direct payment to the consultant pending successful
submittal and review of the National Register nomination by the Indiana Division of Historic Preservation
and Archeology (DHPA).
Please find attached the guidelines for consultants participating in the PIP program, which details the
procedure for payments, expense reimbursement and document submittal. Please provide documentation
when the matching payment is made so that we can verify matching funds were utilized for the
nomination.
