DECEMBER 5, 1932
Regular meeting held by the Board of Public Safety Monday,
December 5, 1932.
Meeting called to order by Mr. C. A. Budd at 9 :15 O'clock A.M.
All members present.
Minutes of last regular meeting were approved.
Bills in the amount of $3,550.76 were approved, bearing
requisition numbers as follows:

POLICE DEPARTMENT
Motion was made by Mr. Gadacz, seconded by Mr. Trost, and
unanimously carried, that William J. Szymanski who was re-
tired on disahility pension, Aug. 12, 1929 , be rein-
stated effective January 1, 1933 to replace Charles Keller
who died December 3, 1932.
On recommendation of Chief John B. Kuespert, the Board
unanimously agreed to authorize him to purchase, from
Seherman- Schan.s- Freeman Company, three Roekne automobiles
and to trade in the three Fords now in use.
Monthly report of the police department presented by the
Chief, which was examined and ordered placed on file.
Weekly report of Policewoman, Mrs. Minnie Evans, presented,
approved and placed on file.
Police bonds of Donald L. Miller and Raymond H. Miller
who are employed by the N.S. Special P Service, were
approved by the Board.
Applications of Alex Nieszgodzki, Porter L. Kizer and
Bernard Co Newhart were approved and ordered placed on file.
FIRE . DEPARTMENT
Michael Barany, Clerk of the Board, presented Bond from
General Fire Truck Company, St. Louis, Mo. , in the amount
of $2,570.50, covering the contract for the 500- gallon
Pumper ordered by the Board from the above mentioned firm.
The Board instructed the Clerk to have City Attorney,
Walter L. Clements, approve said bond before accepting
same.
Applications of Horace E. McDonald and Modest Niezgodski
were approved and ordered placed on file.
Chief R. A. Knoblock reported on the activities of his
department for the past week.

ELECTRICAL ➢EPARTNENT
Mr. William F. Qualls, Superintendent, presented meekly re-
port of time sheets, also made report on an explosion which
damaged a police and fire alarm bog at the corner of
Jefferson and Hill Streets, which was, caused by leaking gas.
YMIGHTSand MEASURES DEPARTMENT
Weekly report of City Sealer,-Chas. J. Burns, was examined
and ordered placed on file.
