SPECIAf MEET ING
NOVEMER 15, 1932
Special meeting held by the Board of Public; Safety Tuesday,
November 15, 1932, for the purpose of receiving bids and-
awarding contracts for the purchase of fire equipment.
The following bids were presented:
GENERAL FIRE TRUCK COMPANY ST. LOUIS, MO.
500-gallon Pumper, only 2,450.00
PETER PIRSCH & SONS CO1,-1PANY, KENOSHA, WISCONSIN.
500-gallon Pumper, only 3,365.00
BOYER FIRE APPARATUS COITIPANY, LOGANSPORT, INDIANA.
$
500-gallon Pumper, only. 3,681.55
3CHERMAN-SCHAUS-FREEMUIN COTZPANY, SOUTH BEND, INDIANA.
Studebaker Bus Chassis,only 1,950.00.
SEAGRAVE CORPORATION, COLU111BUS, OHIO.

This bid was rejected by the Board. owing to the fact that the
Company had not complied with the requirement that each bid
must be accompanied with certified check in the amount of
$1000.00.
After going over all specifications carefully, motion was
made by Mr. Gadacz, seconded by 11r. Trost, that the contract
for the 500-gallon Pumper be awarded to General Fire Truck
Company of St. Louis, 1-i4isso uri, for the sum of $2,450.00, and
the contract for the Chassis be awarded to the Scherman-Schaus-
Freeman Company of South Bend, Indiana, for the sum of $1,950.00.
There being no further b usiness to consider, this meeting
adjourned at 12:15 P.11.
IN
