The expansion will encompass parts of Western Avenue. This effort is a facet of a broader City initiative aimed towards addressing the digital divide in South Bend, working towards digital inclusion. The Office of Innovation and Technology team has reviewed the quote and gives favorable recommendation as well. The not to exceed cost of $3,500.00 is to provide and install conduits and fiber on Western Avenue between South Kaley Street and Dundee street as well as several blocks expanding outwards from these streets.
