Board met in regular session at 10:00 A.M. Mr. Lambert absent.
The following petition was presented to the Board.
Yo the Board. of Public Works,
/Dear Sirs: -
I petition your honorable Body for permission too connect my louse in
the rear of Lot No. 149, Muessels second addition to pipe sewer on Cleveland Ave.
In asking for this permi sion I do so with the full understanding, that
at any time a sewer is laid on Vassar Ave. I shall have to disconnect from the
Cleveland Ave. sewer and make connections to Vassar Ave. sewer.
Trusting you will grant me this permit under these. conditions, I am,

/ The following Thirty (30) day notice was served by police.
TO THADDEUS TALCOTT, Jr. 230 W. Washington Ave. Suth Bend, Indiana.
You are hereby notified to construct a Cement sidewalk in, front of your property
Lot #26 Dubailts 1st. Addition on Fellow Street.
If said work is not completed. within Thirty Days frog date, The ,Board of
Public Works will cause the same to be constructed and will cause the same to be
assessed against said property, as provided ina law entitled "An Act con.-
aerning municipal corporations," passed March 6th., 1905.

The follovring report was filed by the City Civil Engineer, and was approved by the
Board.

Gextlemen:-
I wish to advise you that I have made an earnest effort tc have the
C. S.B. & N. I. Ry. Co. conpIte the paving of Vistula Avenue in a satisfactory
manner, but they have failed to do so.
The street is badly rutted along the street car rails, the north
roadway is very rough and uneven, several pieces of curbing is broken, the cox-
arete stretcher aloug the rail is broken in several places, not enough 66 fillin
��ve been placed back of the curb at the Vistula Avenue culvert nor at a poixt
bear Vernon Street., and zone of the sidewalk or protection railing has been
constructed.
By the terms of their contract with the City this work was all to be
completed on or before the lst. of Oct. 1913.

The following resolution was approved. by the Board.
✓ .'In the xatter,.of the pavement on Dunham and High Streets brick pavements,,
C.H. Defrees the contraotor, and. T. C. Barnes, a pavement contractor filed with the Board, a
contract wherein said Defrees assigned all his rights and interest in and to both of said
streets pavements to said Barnes, and the said Barnes contrasted to accept the assignment
of said contractor and to do and perform all of the contracts and agreements o-f said Defrees
in said two pavements* -
Therefore, Be It Resolved by the Board of Public Works, that it accept
the said assigwaent and accept the said T.C.Barnes as the contractor for the Im rovenent
of both said Improvements, provided
ded said contractor Barnes files his bond s at-iNetory to
the Board to secure the faithfull performance of the said contract.
