122' _TuesdaySeptember 9th,1913. Board'met in regular session. at 10:00' A.M. Mr. Lambert absent. Petit on filed iviththe..Board for a light at Niles Avenue and Crescent Avenue. The same was referred to the Street Commissioner. Also petitionlaskiiigfor Police. Box and Fire Box, same referred to the Safety Deptrtmenty .Petition ;filed with the Board asking fora grade on. Olive Street from Michigan Avenue to Elwood Avenue. The same was read and referred to the Board. v/Partial estimate allowed T.C.Barnes .for grade,curb and walk improvement on St. Louis Street. for the amount of ................................... ........e— 419344.90 Communicatidn..received from J.E.White in re- gard to a sewer tap at 1045 Woodward Avenue. The 'same was readand the Clerk notified to correspond with the con— tractors, Hoban & Roach, and tell then that the City holds them for this work. Complaint received of two polesin front of 614 Blaine Avenue just south of Mich. Avenue. The Board approved of, the following. 614 Blaine Avenue. One Central Union Telephone pole stands 6 or 9 feet from the corner of the alley and has a guy wire in the ground. The ground wire should be removed, a,nd : both telephone company's should be jointly on the same pole. The Home Telephone Company stands outside the curb at this same alley. The Home Tel. Company pole should be placed i .side the curb. ✓ Permission granted the Indiana and Michigan Elec. Cotipany to the the following poles. To reset l— 35t pole on the south side of Division Street., first pole west of Perry Street. Approved. One-35t pole on the east side of Perry Street. second pole south of Division Street. Approved. 1-35t pole, second pole south of the second alley south of Division. St., on the east side of Perry Street. approved. 1 — 351 pole on the north side of Corby ,first pole east of Eddy Street. approved. ,i The Board approved of the following Ten(10)Day notice and ordered same served by police. You Are hereby notified that earth, debris and sand has accumulated upon the side —walk in front of your property situated at and known as Mary E. Campau Tract of land, situated on the east side of Niles Avenue, lying between Corby Street and Crescent Avenue, the same being known as No. Niles Avenue in the City of South Bend, Indiana, c©ntrar.* to and in violation of Ordinance No. 1569 of the Ordinances of the City of South Bend, Indiana, and that if the same is not removed by you with in Ten (10 ) days of this date the same will be removed by this City at your expense; and in addition thereto prosecution will be made for violation of said Ordinance, as in said Ordinances provided.
