Board met in regular session at 10:00 A.m. All members present.
The following petitions were presented to. the Board with regard to lots in the City Cemetery,
and the sane were. approved by the Board..

WHEREAS, on the 13th., day of December ,1594, one F.M.Payne did purchase
City of South Bend, Indiana, for and in eonsideration of Twenty—five Dollars and
thirty cents ($25.30) the dollovd ng described real estate:
All of lot No.711 in the 3rd, addition to the City Cemetery of the City
of -South Bend,Indisnt, and
described property having
WHEREAS, said F.M.Payne,sole owner of the above
lost the -deed for said lot,now,therefore,
BE, IT RESOLVED by the Board , of Public Works of said City,that the
Mayor of said City be aAd he is hereby instructed to issue a duplicate deed to said ,F.M.
Payne for said described property.

fro m the City of South Bend, Indiana., for and in consideration of the sum of Faeven Dollars
and. twenty—eight Bents ($11.25) the follow*Lng described real estate;
All of lot 1691,Block No. 1. Range 'Jo. 3, West, in the City Cemetery
of the City o f South Bend.Jndiana,, and
WHEREAS, Said Barnard Payne sole owner of the above described property
having lost the deed.for said l9t3,now,th refore,
BE IT RESOLVED, by -the Board of Public Works of said City,that the
Mayor of said City be and he is hereby instructed to issue a duplisatd deed to said Barnard
Payne for said described property.

/ THE following petition wars received froi. the Chi cage Soot. Bend '& Northern Indiana Railway
Company, regarding poles on, LaSalle AvenuA.
They were notified to set the poles as follows; —
On East LaS2,lle Avenue bridge cnd street from Michigan Street to Hill
Street to beused jointly by your company and the Chicago,Lake Shore and South Bend ly.
Company togetheR with the Indi5-.na, & Michigar_ Electrr c Company. The placing of iron poles on
the bride _,@,the placing of iron poles on the north side of street, to replace the )gooden poles
used by the Indiana & Michigan Electric Company line. As to the South side of street the
A.T.& T. Company's pales to be used which are now of rvrood.
The Board hereby ordered the original contract by and between the City of South Bernd,
Indian, and the Chicago, South Bend & Northern Indiana Railway Company, as originally entered
into in regard to the improvement on Vistula. Avenue, carried out, and that the poles be plaeed
next to and ad jotinin.g the curb.

In. the above matter remonstrators appeared and remonstrances were
filed.. The Board after ^=ue consideration find that than property assessed in 'said
.roll filed May 20th.21913 is benefited in the mount of assessments as shoven, on,
said roll and the Board furthe. find that the assessment roll filed May 20th.,1913
and the final estimate allowed May 20th.21913 should be and the sum* area hereby in
all ti:Iin6s rats pied, confirmed .and approved.
.Hearing given on Assessment roll and final estimate for Pipe sewer on Studebaker
Street from, Fassnacht Street to a, pt. 25 feet So. of the south line of LaPorte
Avenue, under Improvement Resolution No. 215.
In the above mattes remonstrators appeared, but no remonstrance was
filed. The Board therefore find that the property, assessed in said roll filed

the Board further find that the assessment roll filed May 20th. ,1913.and the final
estimate allowed. May 2Gth. 1913 should be and the same are Ilereby in 21 1 things

In the above matter no remonstrate°rs appeared and no remonstrances
were filed. The Beard therefore find that the propertyassessed in said roll filed
May 20th.,1913. is benefited in the amount of assessments as shown, on said rolls
and the Board further find that the assessment roll filed May 20th.,1913 and the fil
final estimate allowed May 20th.,1.913 should be and the same is hereby in all things
ratified, confirmed and approved*

In the above matter no remonstrators appeared, and no remonstrances
were filed. The Beard therefore fiald that the property assessed in said roll
filed May 20th.,1913 is benefited in the amount of assessments as shown on said
rolls, and the Board further find that the assessment roll filed May 2Dth.3,1913
and the final estimate allovad May 20th.,1913 should be and the same is hereby
in all things ratified, aa, n:firmed and approved.

In the above matter remonstrators appeared ,but no remonstrance
was filed.. The Board after due consideration decided to defer all action until
Tuesday July lst.,1913.

from MichigiLn, Avenue to Vassar Avenue The Board having said improvement Resolution
under advisment find that the _-rem6nstrance'_Jinuary 2.9th.,1913 should be sustained
and that the resolution should be and the same is hereby and in all things re—
scinded.

In tie above matter no remonstrators appeared and no remonstrances
were filed The Board therefore find in each and every case in said impmrement
that tree benefits to the property and to the City of South Bend , are equal to
the estimated cost of said improvements, and the same are hereby in all things
ratified, confirmed and approved.

Carroll Street to First alley west.
In the above matter no remonstrators appeared and no remonstrance was filed.
The Board therefore find in each and every case in said improvement that the benefits to the
property and to the City of South Bend are equal to the estimated cost of said improvement
and the same are hereby in all things ratified, confirmed and..approved.
Resolved further, that notices be published on the 2nd. day of July21913 and on
the 9th-2 day of July21913 its the South Bend. Daily News —Times stating that this Board will
receive bods for the construction of said improvement up to 10:00 A.M. on the 18th.,day of
tluly21913. The Board reserves the right to reject any or all bids.

Olive Street to Kaley Street, In the City of South Bend, Indiana.
In the above matter no remonstrators appeared and no remonstrance were
filed. The Board therefore find in. each and every case in said improvement that the benefits
to the property and to the City of South Bend are equal to the estimated eost of said improve—
ments and the same are hereby in, all things ratified, confirmed and approved.

In the above matter no remonstrators appeared and no remonstrance was
riled. The Board therefore find in each and every case in said improvement that the bene-
fits to the property and to the City of South Bend are equal to the estimated cost of said
improvements and the same :are hereby in all things ratified, confirmed and approved.
Resolved further that notices be published on the 2nd. day of July and on
the 9th., dray of July,1913 in the South Bend Daily Times. Stating tl`lat this Board will rec—
eive bids for the construction of said improvements up to 10:00 A.M. on the 18th., day of

Hearing given on improvement resolution No. 272 for pavement on Marion Street from Scott
Street to Leland Avenue. In the City of South Bend, Indiana.
in the above matter no remonstrators appeared and no remonstrances were
filed. The B;ward therefore fined, in each and every ease in said improvement that the benefits
to the property and to the City of South Bend are equal to the estimated cost of said improvemei
and the same are hereby in all things ratified, confirmed and approved.

and on the 9th., day of July21913 in the South Bend Daily News —Times, stating that this

Hearing given on Conderimation Resolution No. 25 for the opening and e,4tension of Arhold
Street.
In the above matter no remonstrators appea red and no further remonstran
was filed. The Board thvrefore declare the :above property in all things condemned and :appro—
priated for public use.

assessments of benefits in the above matter.
