HomeMy WebLinkAbout06/10/1913 Board of Public Works MinutesBoard met in regular session at 10:00 A.M. All members present. In the matter of the traction poles, on and along Vistula Avenue. A Motion, ma.s made by Mr. Lambert and seconded by Mr. Niedba.lski to the effeet that the Chicago, South Bend & Northern Indiana Railway Company remove their trolley poles now placed on the north and east side of Vistula Avenue, and re place the same inside of the curb, as designated by the City Engineer. Also, that fifty (50%)per cent of the expense of removing the aforesaid poles be paid by the City of South Bend on completion -of the work. The same was carried. /Motion made by Mr. Lambert and seconded by Mr. Niedbalski that the City Engineer be in- structed to select two real estate men to make an appraisement of the property on South Franklin Street from Jefferson B:Lvd. to Wayne Street. The same was earried. / The following petition rev,,ed from Indiana & Mich. Elee. Company and approved. r To set one 351 pole on wrest side of the alley just east of the house at 1004 W. Oak Street One 351 pole on the corner of the alley in the rear of 1004 W. Oak Street.OK. on N.W, Cor. & Replace C.U.Tel Co-. one about 1201 west of the alley corner. OK. on property line and remove C.U.Tel. Co. This pole is to be on the north side of the alley. Two poles are to be jointly used with C.U.Tel. Co. Petition received from J.E.Archambealt petitioning for the release of his exeavation Board which was approved by the Board on Aprill llth.1913 and placed on file. The same was approved by the Board. The Board approved of a, thirty (30) day notice being served on property owners at 1013 and 1015 Fisher Street, on account of defective walk* eater connections on Ottowa Court from Vistula Avenue to L.S.& M.S. Ry. Co. under improve ment resolution No. 253, was awarded to W.H.Burke. JWater connection s on Howard Street from Beeper Avenue to Niles.Avenue,under improvement Resolution No. 252. was awarded to W. H. Burke. r President.
