Declaratory hearing given ok Improvement Resolution, No. 251 for Pavement
From Sample Street to Broadway Street, In the City of South Bend, Indiana.
on High Street
In the above matter no remonstrators appeared and no remonstran.ees were tiled.
The Board therefore find in each and every ease in said improvement that the benefits to
the property and to the City of South Bend are. equal to the estimated cost of said improve—
ments and the same are hereby in & 11 things ratified, eonfirmed and approved.
Resolved, that notices be published on the 28th., day of May,1913 and on the
4th.9 day of Jun.e21913 in the South Bend, Daily Times,, stating thiat this Board will receive
bids for the construction of said improvement up to 10:00 A.M. on the 20th.9 day of June,
1913. The Board reserves the right to reject any and all bids.
Declaratory hearing given on Improvement Resolution No. 249 for Pavement on. Dunham Street
from Harris Street to Arnold Street, In the City of South Bend, Indiana.
In the above matter no remonstrators appeared and no remonstrances were filed.
The Board therefore find in each and every case in said improvements that the benefits to the
property and to the City of South Bend are equal to the estimated cost of said improvements
and the same are hereby in all things ratified, confirmed and approved.
Resolved, that notices be published on the 29th., day of May21913 and on tux
4th., day of June,1913 in the South Bend, Daily Times, stating that this Board will receive
bids for the construction of said improvements up to 10:00 A.M. on the 20hh„ day of June,
1913. The Board reserves the right to reject an* or all bids.

South Bend, Indiana.
In the above matter remonstrators appeared and a remonstrance was filed.
The Board after due consideration therefore find in each and every case in said improvement
that the benefits to the property and to the City of South Bend are equal to the estimated
cost of said improvement, and the same are hereby in all things ratified, eonfirmed and ap—
proved.

filed. The Board deferred all action on the same until Wednesday May 28th.,1913 at 10:00 A.Me
Declaratory hearing given on Improvement Resolution No. 240 for Pipe sewer on Adams Street
from Michigan Avenue to Vassar Avenue, In the City of South Bend, Indiana.
In the above matter remonstrators appeared , but no further remonstrances were
filed. The Board deferred all action on the same, until Friday June the 27th.21913 at 7:45
P.M.
Hearing given, on Condemnation Resolution .No. 22 for the Widening of Turneek Street frok-.
South Bend Avenue to Corby Street, In the City of South Bend, Indiana.
In the above matter remonstrators appeared, but . xo remonstrances were. filed.
The Board after clue consideration decided to deferr all action on the same until Friday June
27th,1913 at 7:45 P.M.
Dearing given on Condemnation Resolution No. 25 for the Opening and Extension -of Arnold Street
Ia the City of South Bend Indiana. In the above matter the Board deferred all action, until

TO THE HONORABLE COUNCIL:
Gentlemen.:- The Board of Public Works herewith presents its report for the
following Sewer, Gas and Water Connections.

RESOLUTION' OF THE BOARD OF PUBLIC MRKS.
On motion duly made and seconded, the following preamble and resolutions were
unanimously adopted:
WHEREAS,, This Board did on the llth. day of February 1913 deem it expedient ad
and of publi-e. untility to permanently improve KEMBLE AVENUE between Prairie Avenue ad
and Ewing Avenue, by paving the roadway of the same, and did on said date pass and
adopte a resolutiok authorizing said permanent ixprovement, and
WHEREAS. The City Engineer has preppred and filed with this Board a report
shoring the number anal loea.tion. , , &s we-=1 as thematerial to be used and the mai n.er
of laying the' same, of the` service pipes, mains, conduits, laterals and co*—Reetion.s
whie:h are, or will be necessary to accommodate the abutting property owners with gas'
water, heat, steam or any ether product for which anrypersox , firm or corporation
has been, granted a franchise for stZpplying the citizens of the City of South Bend,
Indiana, which report is as follows: —

by adopted. .
And be -it Further resolved, that It is contemplated by this Board to
improve Kemmb?a Avenue fromm:Prairie Avenue to Ewing Avenue; all in said.City of South
Bead, by construction of a briek pigem►ent, and that it is, and is hereby so declared,
necessary for the Norther. Indiana Gas & Electric Commpany$ which has, and operates under
a franchise from' said ' City to supply gas to the - citizens of said City, to provide and
install mains, laterals, service pipes and eeximm~atioxs for gas in said part of said
street, of the description, location and number set forth in said report of said City.
&igineer, which mains service pipes and e®nneetioxs are hereby declared necessary
-for the ixmmediate use of said Company in supplying gas to the owners of property abuttig
upon said part of said street.
