Board met in regular session at 7:15 P.M. All members presemt.
;searing had on assessment rolls and final estimates on following: -
.Trunk sewer knwm as River Park Sewer No. 2 under -Improvement
Resolution No. 1043.
In'the above matter Atty. 6'Neil appeared,and filed written
remonstratno* for 'Walter McIntire against amount of assessments and a number of.property
owners appeared. Written remonstrance filed by S. W. Shambleau. The Board after
hearing all.interested parties present, over -ruled -all remonstrances and find that, the
property assessed in said roll filed November 14th.9 1923 is benefitted in the amounts
as shown .on said roil, and the Board fort hor fined that the assessment roll filed
November 14th.,'1923 and the final estimate allowed Noly 1491923 should be and the
same are hereby in all things ratified, confirmed dnd spproveds as originally filed.
Hearing had on assessment rolls -and final estimates as follows:
Pipe sewer on Dayton Street from Caroline Street to a point
384 feet east of under Improvement Resolution No. 1183. Filed Nov. 20,1923.
Sheet asphalt pavement on Sadie Street from Washington Street to
Linden Avenue, under Improvement Resolution No, 1138, Filed November 14th.9 1923.
Water connections on Huey Street from Washington Avenue to Linden
Avenue under Improvement Resolution No. 1179.
Grade, curb and walk on Garland Street, West of Sabriet Street
from South Bend Avenue to South line of Parker & Allen's Addition and south g of
South Band Avenue , Harriett Street to Jacob Street under Improvement Resolution,No.
1213, Filed November 21st.9 1923. "
Grade, curb and walk on Brookfield Street from Humboldt Street
to Elwood Avenue, under Improvement Resolution No. 1094. Filed Nov. 14,1923.
Grade, curb and walk on Ostege Street from Pokaggon Street to
Angell& Avenue, under Improvement Resolution No, 1098, Diled Nov. 14,1923.
Grade, curb and walk on Johnson Street.from Humboldt Street to
Elwood.Avenue9 under -Improvement Resolution No. 1123. Filed Nov. 14,1923.
Grade, curb and walk on College Street from -Humboldt Street to
Elwood Avenue, under Improvement Resolution No, 1095. Filed Nov. 14�}923
In the above matter no remonstrators appeared and no written
remonstrances were filed. The Board therefore find that the property assessed in said
rolls filed Nov. 13th.9 and 14th., 1923 dre benefitted in the amounts as shown
on said role, and the Board further finds, that the assessment roll filed November
13th., and 14th.9 1923 and the final estimates allowed November 13th.9 and 14th.1, 1923
should be and the same are hereby.in all things ratified, confirmed and approved.
Hearing continued on the Vacation Resolution for the Vacation
of -a part of Kaley Street until December 19th.0 1923 at 7:15 P.M.
Hearing had on Improvement Resolution No. 1275 for the pipe
sewer on Swygart Avenue from Indiana Avenue to Prairie Avenue,
In the above matter no property owners remonstrated and no
written remonstrances were filed. After hearing the Board deeiedes that the benefits
to property. liable to be assessed for said improvement are equal to the -estimated cost
of the°same, and the. Board therefore now confirms the said resolution. Date for
receiving, opening and considering selaed proposals for the construction of said
sewer fixed as December 1923 at 10:00 A.M. and notice thereof ordered published
as provided by law.
Hearing had on improvement Resolution No. 1276 for the pipe
sewer on Miami Street -from S. E. corner of present sewer in Miami Street to the north
curb line of Donmoyer Avenue,
In the above matter no. remenstraors appeared and no written
remonstrance was filed. Upon recommendation of the City Engineer the resolution
modified to build sewer on the east side of pavement insttad of west, side of pavement,
and the Board further find that the property liable to be assessed for said improvement
are equal to the estimated east of the same, and said resolution is now confirmed
Date for receiving opening and considering sealed proposals fixed as December 1923.
at 10:00 A.M. Notice thereof ordered published as required by law.
