Board met in regular session at 7:15 P.m. All members present.
Deferred hearing had on assessment roll and final estimate. for
pavement .-on Lafayette treet from Marquette Avenue to Wakewa Avenue and Wakezu "

In the above matter the City Engineer having filed modified
roll showing assessment of $8,685,553 assessed against, Nokomis Park now shown
a gGins-t all lo-,s- known as lots 62 & 63 Navarre Place Additi.o n and Lots 150 to
169 and 172 , 1739176,177,1801,1829183,18691879188,189,190 to 195 inclusive.
The Board 'therefoe find that the property assessed as modified in roll filed
Octber 24th'.;' 1.923 is benef teed in the amounts as shown on said roll, and the
Board further find, that the assessment roil filed October 24,th. etnd modified
November 28th.9 1923 and the final estimate allowed Oct. 24th., 1923 should be
and the same are hereby in all things ratified, confirmed and approved, as modi-
fied.
The following resolution approved: -
RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF PUBLIC
WORKS OF. HE CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA.
That Whereas, by Ordinance No. 2374 passed by the Common Council
of the City of South Bend, Indiana on the 26th, day of November 1923 the sum of
Eighteen ( $16,000;00) Dollars was appropriated for the purchase of all of lots
numbered 26127, 28 and.29 Miner's and Green's 2nd Addition tuthe Town of Lowel
now a part of the City of South Beni., Indiana.
`AN41'WHEREAS9 by said Ordinance the Board of Public Works of the City
were authorized to use said sum of Eighteen ($18,000.00) Dollars in the purchase
of the aforesaid described real estaI4. _
NOW, THEREFORE Condemnation Resolution no. 78 adopted by -this
Board o the 1st, day of August 1923 is hereby rescinded and all proceedings
under said Resolution are hereby ordered abandoned. `
AND BL IT FURTHER RESOLVED. that the Board if Public Works purchase
said described real estate, for. the sum of Eighteen ($18,000.00) Dollars, and that
a voucher or vouchers be ordered issued to the owners of said land in payment for
said real estate in.the aura of Eighteen ($18,000.00) Dollars. And the City
Controller is directed to deliver the warrant, therefore only upon the release
of all liens and incumbrances on said real estate and the delivery of a warranty
deed by the vendor free and clear of all incumbrances.

Board met in regular session at 9:00 A.M. All members
present.
Petition received and resibution-ordered for sewer on
West Poland Street from Olive Street to Meade Street. .
Release signed for Staples and Ackerman bond.
Place arc light at the corner of High Street and Indiana
Avenue and reset arc light now 100'feet west of Dale Avenue aast to the north
east corner of Dale Avenue then Virginia Street.
Ex. Bond of Lin$y Richardson filed Nov.-30,1923 is hereby
released.
Indiana Bell Tel. Co. granted permission to reset pole
at rear of 1109 Birner Street.
Petition filed for light at corner of Huey Street --and
Rogers Street. Referred to Inspector for report.
Street Commissioner granted permission to round off corners
of East side of Sycamore Street and 1st. alley north of La Salle Avenue,
J. W. Doyle took up matter of extra grading and inlets on
Lafayette Street, Wakewa and Marquette Avenue. Proper statement of amounts to be
filed.
Request of L. H. Webster for time to April 15th., 1923 on St.
Peter Street Trunk sewer granted.
