Wednesday November 21 st., 1923.
Board met in regular session at 7:15 P.M. All members present.
Hearing had on Resolution f9r the condemnation of lots 19,20,21,22,
?39 24, 25 and 26 South Bend City ftzkal,Addition under Condemnation Resolution
rlo. 80. It
Property owners appeared and remonstrated but no written remon-
strance was filed. Hearing continued to Wed. Nov. 28th., 1923 at 7:15 P.M.

Hearing had on assessment rolls and.final estimates as follows:-
Cement curb on Division Street, Huron Street,'Ford Street,, Dunham
Street, Sample Street, Dundee Street and Camden Street all in Summitt Place Fifth
Addition under Improvement Resolution No. 1229.
No remonstrators appeared and no written remonstrances were filed.
The Board therefore find that the property assessed in said roil filed Nov. 13,192
1923 istbenefited in the amounts as shown on said roll, and the Board further
find, that the assessment roll filed November 13th., 1923 and the final estimate
allowed Nov. 13,1923 should be and the same are hereby in all things ratified,
confirmed and approved.
Hearing had on assessment roll andfinal estimate fbr cement side-
walk and grading on Division Street, Huron Street, Ford Street, Dunham Street,
Sample Street, Dundee Street Camden Street all streets in Summitt Place 5th. Add.
under Improvement Resolution Ito. 1184
Nc remonstrators appeared and no written remonstrance was filed.
The Board therefore find that the property assessed in said roll filed No.v 13, 1
1923 is benefited in the amounts as shown on said roils, andand the Board fr
furthF)r find, that the assessment roll filed November 13th., 1923 and the final
estimate allowed November 13th., 1923 should be and the same are hereby in -all
things ratified, confirmed and approved.
Property owners and members of the River Park Civic Association
appeared and requested that a Hose Douse be built in River Park. Na action taken.
Bids were received opened read on the Streets in North Shore Terrace
2nd. Addition grade, curb and walk improvement. Bids submitted by Highways Impt.

Bids for grade, curb and walks on Streets in Monroe Park Addition
submitted by Highways Impt. Company and Alex Bukowski. ( See files for original
bids.).
Contract for grade, curb and valk on Streets in North Shore Derrace
2nd. Addition awarded toHighways IV*t. -Co. at bid received.

Chief Lane requested to see that gasoline pump which is an obstruc-
tion on the sidewalk in front of the place of business of the 20th. Century
garage on Lafayette Blvd is removed as per letter of City Attorney dated Nov. 19,
1923. Clerk instructed to write to Chief Lane, in regard to same.
Hearing had on assessment roil and final estimate for sheet asphalt
pavement on Lafaytte Street from Marquette Avenue to Wakewa Avenue and Marquette
Avenue and Wakewa Avenue from Lafayette to Iroquois Street, under Improvement
Resolution No. 1111.
.Engineer oddered to submit a corrected assessment roll apportion-
igg cost against abutting property, instead of against Park and hearing is hereby
continued to Wednesday Nov. 28th., 1923 at 7:15 P.M. Clerk instructed to send
out new notices to property owners.
Engineer filed assessment roils and final estimates as follows: -
Grade, curb and walk on Garland Street , west of Harriet Street
from South Bend Avenue to South.line of Parker and Allen's Addition and south
of South Bend Avenue 9 Harriett Street to Jacob Street.

Asphaltic concrete resurfacing of Notre Dame Avenue from Jefferson
Blvd. to City Limits.
Assessment rolls adopted and final estimate allowed. Notice of
adoption of the assessment roil and of hearing upon the same on .the 5th, day of Dec.
1923 at 7:15 P.M. ordered published as provided by law.
Communication received from Securtities Investment Company Corp.

Avenue from Lincoln tray to Bonds Avenue, Bonds Avenue from the Nest line of Elliott
Street to the east line of Goodland Avenue and all streets and alleys in Kaley's
Olive Street Addition. Resolution ordered.
Petition received from Frank Tehida by Harry Taylor Attorney, owners of
parts of lots 11 and 12 in Plat of Ford's Sub. Div. of Bank Out Lot 66 to have
obstructions removed from alley immediately west and adjoining his property , alley
between Chapin Street and Munson Street running north and south and running one half
block north of Orchard Street. Notices ordered sent to remove obstructions in Thirty
days,

Partial estimate allowed Indiana Construction Cmpany for grade, curb
and walk on McCartney Street from Portage Avenue to Alien Street at...$6O7.67
Contract with Hay -Weaver Company as,eontiactors for the construction
of the Police and Fire Alarm Station in this City signed in the suns of $25.431.00
contract price and attached thereto Mond in the sum of $21,617.00 with Aretna
Casualty and Surety Company approved, Contract and bond ordered filed.
