Electrical 'Dept. bills were approved and ordered paid.
Motion prevailed' that the weekly report of Supt. walls for the week
ending August 21st. be approved and ordered placed on file.
DEPT OF WEIGHTS ATID MEASURES
Motion prevailed that the weekly,report of City Sealer Burns for the week
ending Aug. 20th..be accepted and ordered placed on file.
POLICE DEPT.
Police Dept. bills were approved and ordered paid.

A petition for a traffic signal at the intersection of Ewing Ave, and -
Miaimi St was presented by 1310 citizens" living near this intersection.

Motion prevailed that,Lincoln Way East be made a preferential street at
the intersection ,of Monroe, South, and , Bronson°�,Streets
Motion prevailed that west Sample 'St. be made a preferential street at the
intersection of Prairie Ave.
Motion" pr'euailed. that a stop sign be erected on Colfax Ave. at Eddy st
for jiest bound traffic crossing Eddy St.
Motion prevailed that a stop sign be placed on Eddy st. at Colfax Ave.

Motion prevailed that the Official Bond of Officer J.C.Tdyer, nameing J.C.Myer
a.s'prihoipal and Clifford V. DuComb, and Stephen Torek as surety be accepte.
Mrs. Harry Bryant appeared before the Board to.ask that the children attend
ing.Sun,nyside School and liveing South of Mishawaka Ave. be given some
assistance, or some means of insuring their safety be provided.
Motion prevailed that the Board go on record as being willing and anxious
to promote the safety of school children in cro esing traffic congeststreets,"
and` "that "the matter be taken.up with the School Board and their co- operation
be ,soli'sted in working out some plan for insuring the safety of school
children in going to and from,,�Behool every where in the City.
Motion prevailed that Chief Hatt's attention be called. to motor vehicles
fo;owing the Fire wept. to fires and blocking traffic, and makeing it im-
possible for other fire trucks to get near the fire in case of ,a second, alarm
