The regular meeting of the Board of Public Safety was held in the Boards
Offiee Tuesday May 31st., 1927. Monday the 30th. being.Memorial Dayo
Meeting was called to order a,t 4:16 P.M.-'by Pres. Engeldrum
All members were present.
Motion prevailed to dispense -with the reading of the minutes of the.la't °
regilar meeting.
FIRE DEPT.
Bills to were approved and ordered paid.
Motion prevailed that the application of Raymond Horka be accepted and ,
a, ordered placed on file.
ELECTRICAL DEPT.
Motion prevailed that the weekly report of Supt. Qualls be accepted for
the weekending May 28th, 1927; also the-monthly reoport of Fire Alarms
for the month of May 1927. - -
DEPT. OF WEIGHTS & MEASURES
t Motion prevailed that the Meekly report of city Sealer Burns for the
week ending May 28th., 1927 also the monthly` rpport for the Month of
May 1927 be accepted and ordered placed on file.
Motion prevailed to allow City Sealer Burns to-attend the State convent
ion of Weight's & Measures me-n at Fort Wayne, Ind. on dune 7th.8th,& 9th.
POLICE D'I'T.
Bills -to# were approved and 'ordered paid
Motion prevailed that the Official Bond of Offieer:Vernon Ellis, nameing
the New York Indeminity Co. as surety be accepted.
Motion prevailed.that due to the fact that there are nearly 400 accepted
Poliee.Dept applications, and over 400 accepted Fire.Dept application
on file at the,present time that the quoto of Police and.Fire Dept.
applications `be declared filled, and.that additional applications, not
be accepted until such•time.that the Board se s fit to allow application
to be filed again.
