All members were present.
Motion, prevailed to dispense with the reading of the minutes of the last
regular meeting.
FIRE DEPT.
Bills #3 �S to _# 3 f / were approved and ordered paid.
Motion prevailed to accept and order placed on file the ,applieations_:of
Robert C,.Sople, George F. Sikorski, and Carl Oscar Ekstrand.-
Motion prevailed that Capt. Andrew Anderson due to his present illness
lbe allowed to begin his 15 day vacation on May 11th. on which date he
will . be automatiely dropped from the payroll by virtue of the-30 day
absent on account of:. siekriess rule.
ELECTRICAL DEPT.
Motion prevailed that the weekly report.of.Supt. Qualls for the week'
ending May 7th.,:1927 be accepted and ordered placed on file; also the
monthly report of Fire A�.arms for the month of April 1927.
- DEPT. OF WEIGHTS & MEASURES.
Motion prevailed , that the - weekly report of City Sep er Burns for the
week ending May '7th:, 1927 be accepted and order -e1 - aplee -, d on file; also
the monthly report frrr the month of April 1927. -
7 POLICE DEPT.
Bills # � ' -A to # l3 1 were appreowec and ordered paid.
Motion prevailed that the $75.00 cheek.from the Town of Roseland as
per their contract with the.City of.South Bend for Fire protection be
accepted ;and turned over to ::the City Co:ntr_ollor to be deposited in the
.... Geheral F°�ndi _
A- letter was received from Albert Schorch of 907-- Qak -St. commending
Officer Claude L. Brooks for-his efficient wor inn "handling,,traffia at
the: 'Central Junior High School. I
Motion prevailed to instruct clerk to purchase 5 new.edat cushions for
the Ford Cars to 'replace 5 worn out cushions.
Meeting adjourned at.4 :40 P.M.

Motion prevailed that the weekly report of City Sealer Burns for the week
ending April 14th. be accepted and ordered placed on file.
POLICE DEPT.
Bills # 13 Y 8 to # / 3 7/ were approved and ordered paid.
A petetion from Buisness men of the West Side was presented to' the Board
requesting that Frank goesis be given Special Police Power that he might.':
act as a merchant police'in that vicinity of the City was refered to
Chief Hatt for investigation.
