Perley Primary Student Art Showcase Reception
On Thursday, April 12, 2018, the Common Council, Mayor Pete Buttigieg, and City Clerk
Kareemah Fowler met with students, their families, and staff from Perley Primary Fine Arts
Academy for a reception to showcase their displayed art work located in the South Bend Common
Council Suite, Office of the Clerk and Office of the Mayor. The Common Council and City Clerk
Kareemah Fowler, have proudly welcomed the students’ art work in their offices for the duration
of the school year. Yesterday, students had an opportunity to view their art along with their
families, and Fine Arts Facilitator, Erin Harding. City leaders shared with students’ that their art
work has brightened up their space and they are very supportive of the creative growth of students.
The art work is a great way to showcase the students and continue to promote the arts within our
education system.
