The call., issued by Mr. Bngeldrum and all members were present, The meeting was attended by Mayor,Mantgomery who Wished the board to compliment Officers Martin and Kubiak for their excellent service. in apprehending -a robber and the injury of a second, On motion of.Mr. Reeder 6.nd a second by Mr. Nicely the board moved to intorduce a measure in the council establishing a merit sistem in the matter of rewarding officers for meritorious service. Motion carried. On motion of Mr.. Nicely and a second by Mr, Reeder it was moved to pay Officer'Kubiak at the rate of.l" dollars per month effective Feb, 16 . Officer Arden Kline who has been apontedo special officer was appointed a regular patrolman and his pay to b Nf�etive as of Feb, lst, 1927, Motion carried, Motion prevailed that Officer Martin and Kubiak be rewarded by increasing their pay 10 dollars per month for a period of 10 months providing the ordinance for such expenditure passes the council Motion prevailed to adjourn. Michinski, Milo-E. Huffman. Also the application for reinstatement of Curtis P. Turnoek. ELECTRICAL. DEPT. F` lotion prevailed to accept and order placed on file the ive�:k ±J report of Supt. Oualls for the week ending Feb. 12th. 1927. ,Motion prevailed to instruct Supt. Qualls to erect an overhead traffic signal at the corner of Lafayette add Sample St. as soon as possible. } DEPT. OF WEIGHTS AND T,P_i ASURES * -titian prevailed to accept and order placed on file the weekly report of City Sealer Burns for the week ending Feb. 12th. 1927. Motion prevailed to apnrove the official bond of Officer Arden Kline naming Officer Y1ine,as principal and Officer Arden Kline, Olen A. Clark s and.Fred P. Crowe as surety.. Motion-.rettailed that the Police.Pension Fund be all check for the sum of $5.24, made out to the Police Pension Fund by the Hurwich Iron Co- -for the sale of old"news. papers gathered from about the Police Station by the Police Officers. Motion prevailed to recommend to the City Council that the sum of, $,6,500,. 00 be.'appropiateo from the General Fund for the following necessitys,;for the police and Fire Dept. Re painting of Truck #1 for the Fire Dept - - - - - -- 2�0, Supernummary Car and sirens for Police Dept- - -- - - - - -__ - - - - - -_ x,350.' Purchase of combination Patrol and Ambulance for�the Police DeptA4, 900. This combination Patroland. Ambulance will be known as the ambulance and used as a police patrol only.in emergencies. Motion prevailed to make the following promotions and demotions in the Police -Dept, to take effect February 16th., 1927. Sergt;�John Steinburg to be reduced to the rank of Patrolman and to be placed on Day Traffic Duty. Sergt. Benjiman Roberts; to be reduced to the rank of Detective, and his assignment in the D�ective Dept' to be left to Capt. Hamilton. { Officer Ellis Diver to be promoted to the Rank of Sergt. and be placed . in charge of the Traffic and Information desk. Officer Theo. Wolters to be promoted to the rank of Sergt. and to be assigned a Nigl?t patrol Sergts post- or territory. Officer Edward Detzler to be promoted to the rank od Sergt., Attest.
