ELECTRICAL DEPT.
The weekly report of Supt. Qualls for the week ending Dec. 18th. was
accepted and ordered placed on file.
1vit. Nicely made a motion to the bid of the Hazard,14fg. Co's bid
for 14 feet of cable necessary in extending theFire Alarm Telegrahp
System to the New Fire Station in River Park
The bid being x;316.00 per Thousand feet, F.O.B. Soouth Bend, Delivery
6 8' weeks transportation charge8 on empty reels back to.the Factory
t6 be paid by the Hazard Mfg. Co.
Upon a second by Mr. Reeder the motion was carried, and Supt. Qualls was
Ordered to notify the Ha-zarc Mfg. Co. to began work on the cable im.mead-
iately.
Dept of Weights and Measures
Motion prevailed to accept and p ace on file the weekly report of City
Sealer Burns for the week ending Dec. 18th*', 1926.
Police Dept.
Motion re to'acoept and place on file the applications of Ralph
Poure ig M.N.Landon, and Alvin Reedy.
Motion, , prevailed to instruct Clerk to purchase an 18 inch Underwood type-,.

Meeting was called to order .at 4:051 P.'!. by Pres. Engeldrum.
FIRE DEPT.
Motion prevailed to accept and place on file the applications of Isadore
'Van Hoke and Clarence Barks.
ELECTRICAL DEPT.
Ilotion prevailed to accept and pldce on file the weekly report of Supt.
Qualls for week ending Degember 25th., 1926.
1.16tion prevailed to instruct Clerk to send a letter to Mr. Erler of the
South Bend Watch Co.'stating that this Board is anxious to take some steps
to remedy the traffic congestion at their - plant, and co- operate with
the officials of the Fouth Bend Watch Co. 'ih overcoming this e6ftditioh.
It is to be further-suggested that a committe from the So-. 'end 7;atch Co.
meet with Board of Public Safety in the near future to work out a
satisfactory arrangmeiit.
,'lotion prevailed to instruct the Clerk to send a letter to Moayor Montgom-
bry' if it is his intentions to have the Citizens Traffic Committe
consider or pass upon the erection of additional traffic signals before
-any definate action is taken by the Board of Public Safety.

POLICE DEPT.
Motion prevailed ;to a and place file the applications of Isadore
Van Hoke, and'Edward We Wilspelare, also to accept and place on file
,application for reinstatement of former Officer Herbert Meilke.
'lotion prevailed to instruct the clerk to send a petition to the Board
of Public Works reguesting that they purchase a new flat top desk for the
Police Station to replace the old desk that has been in use there for
several years.
