Regftsitions, for the Fire Dept, from Nos.00066 to 00067 were b
approved, Bills for the same dept, were approved - and orMred paid
from Nos. _ 84 to No, 95 , The .Fire chief was instructed
to purchase two gas masks , for the tiro , trucks at Central station s a part
of their equipment" , tae cost of said masks to be approximately 50, each,
The Chief visas also. instructed to purchase two fomine fire extinguishers
to be added to.the chemicle equipment Motion prevailed to give needed
protection to the County Infirmary,
Motion prevailed to place on file th report of the City Sealer of
Weights and Measures,
Motion.pr:evailed :to accept -the report of the Electrical Dept, and
the same was ordered placed on file, a
Motion prevailed to have the fire..ehief consider the recommendation
of the City Electrician regarding the erection of a new fire alarm bog
on N. Hill Street,
Motion prevailed.to write to the-Board of 'Works in regard to a
condition at the intersec of.Lineolway.west and Deland Ave,
Bilks.for the police department from Nos. 271 -to 333 were approved
and - ordered paid,-
.Datrolman George Pinter charged by 1hief.Hatt , -Capt McMahaon and
Sergt. Meilke with appearing. with the smell.ef- liquor on his
breath pn the night of "June 3. On motion of Mr. Reeder and a second by
Mr, Nicely the Chief of Police was instructed to reprimand the officer
and impose a fine of two weeks pay, Th o fficer - be - instructed to work
the two weeks .without pay, The .amo'unt of the fine be ,paid to the police
pdnsion fund, The . offieer . failed to appear for the . trial. A copy ,of the
charge was ordered placed on file.
The application of Carl -wesoleck as a policeman was accepted
following the recommendation'of the examining surgeon and he was ordered
to report for duty June 9, The motion was made by Mr, Reeder -and seconded
by Mr. Nicely.
On. motion of Mr. Nicely the clerk of the.Board was instructed to
pay the dues of the Chief..af . Poliae : to the :International. .Assn, of Chiefs of
Police.. Q

ordered paid, -
=Dr,- :Thompson: former police surgeon appeared before the board
add presented balls against Officers Tesmer acid Graf. The Chief was
ordered to see these mere..,
On motion .of Mr. Reeder and 'a second by Mr, Nicely the meeting
adjourned at 5:20 p,m, b

Monday June 14, 1926 Meeting held in the Offices of the Board of "safety
all members being present.
I On motion;of Mr, Reeder the reading of the minutes was dispensed
with ., Requisitions Nos 00068 to 00073 for the fire Dept, were approved„
Captain WAlliam Preeh was authorized to attend the course in Life
Saving - Culver Military-Academy by the American Red Cross for a
period of 10 days starting Wednesday June 15, Expenses to be paid by
the city and local chapter of the Red Cross. Patrolman Leo Williams
was authorized to represent the police department and to take the
same course of training. Motion made by vbi . Reeder and- seconded by
Mr, Nicely.
Motion prevailed to accept the weekly report of the Electrical.
dept,and same was ordered, placed on file. The report of the Weights aild
Measures, dept, was accepted and ordered placed on file,
