Motion prevailed that the weekly report of the Electrical. and placed on f i1e. On -motion -cyf -.I,,Tr.-,-Reeder and a second by Mr. Nicely the clerk � ucted to confer with the City Atty. and p repare an ordinance for the appropriation of 6,5)) for the Electrical Pay RoIll The money to be used for the maintaince of the Fire Alarm station with civilian operators and t5O). to be used for emergency atectricaiAns. Niceley, .Captain James Schock was reduced to the of patrolman and assigned to dut in the .detective department. Change made for the good thlh of the service and to become effective April 13. On motion of Mr. Reeder and a second by Mr. Nicely the clerk was instructed to purchase a Henderson motorcycle for the use of the police department and the bid for same was accepted which included a trade in value'of an old machine. Motion prevailedd to instruct firemen to follow the safety zones established by the board and to assits the police department in educating the public to follow the safety zones* Motion prevailed to accept the report of the Supt. of th eleetrieal depto and place same on-file. . Motion prevailed to,erect new overhead signals at Colfax and Lafayette, Mayne and Wayne, and Jefferson and Lafayette intersections. On motion of Mr. Reeder and a second by Mr. Nicely the board moved to fine Officer Fred WhItsell. 10 days pay 3 ,the same to be paid to the pension fund and deprive him of his annual vacation. The same following the filing of charges by Chief of Poliae James I. Hatt that the said officer.was absent from his post of duty without permission, ' On Motion of Mr* Nicely and a-second by Mr. Reeder the ,appointment of Charles Burns as City Sealer of Weights and Measures was ,, .approved to become effective April 21* Appointment was made following a communication from I. L. Miller, ,state sealer of.weights,and measures, stating that he approved the appointment since the above named man had passed the examination and met with the approval'of the state board. Motion prevailed to instruct Chief to submit a-monthly crime sheet to the board* Requisitions for the Electrical Dept* from Nos.00726 to 00776. were approved. Motion prevailed to equip twwek with new motor.
