department and ordered paid, O motion of Mr. Nicely it was ordered `
that Fire Captains in all departments shift with Lieutenants evepy

proposal of the Sup. of the Electrical Depte to become a member of the
national organization of E1ee trical_En er gineers and t attend the national

Potion prevailed to accept the. report of the weights and
measures department. Requisitions and Bills were ordered.signed and
paid,
Motion prevailed to pay all.bills for-'the police department,
Applications for this department were accepted and ordered placed on
file, on motion of Nicely Chief Hatt was instructed to excuse
Captain Bunker from drill and also Sergt, Zgodinski. He was further
instructed to see that all night men attended drill. Motion prevailed
to adjourn _

March 15,1926. Meeting held in.the offices of the Board of Safety
at 4 p.m. all members present.
A petition was presented by Charles Speth and Frank
Mayer signed by 100 business firms. The petition proper says "The
undersigned respectfully petition for the ,enforcement of the
City Ordinance No,1954, known as the Moving Ordinance, and ask that
this enforcament be effective continually from an early date.
On motion of I -Jr. Reeder and 2nd by 1dr. Nicely the petition was
ordered placed on file and the clerk instructed to call �o the
attention of all transfer men the ordinance and also to confer with
the Chief of Police.
. Motion prevailed to accept the report of the fire dept,
Bills were ordered paid.
Motion prevailed to accept the report of the Electrical
Dept, Requisitions No §0757 and 00758 were approved.
The resignition of Reed I. Hawthorne , City Sealer of
I leagts and Irieasures was presented and accepted to become effective
y March 15. The Clerk was instructed to communicate with the sta
department ,of Weights and Measures and notify .them of the resigntion.
On motion of Mr. Reeder and a negative vote'by I&* Nicely
the following changes in the police dept. were ordered by Pres.
Engeldrum: "Effective March 15 Horace M* Hamilton,aset,chief, �
becomes -Capt. of Detectives replacing Captain Guy L. Bunker who
will become acting Asst. Chief. captain Cordier is hereby reduced
to the ask of patrolman and will replace Nieholas'Laskowski«
Patrolman—Laskowski is promoted.to the rank of Sergt. and will
replace Sergt. .,William McMann. Sergt. Mc.Mann .is, .promoted ,to the
rank of Captain and will take the shift left vacant by the removal
of captain Cordi6r. -�—
Bills for—the Police dept. were ordered paid. Requisitions
from Nos. 2562 ta2.575 were approved.
On motion of Mr. Reeder and a second b$ Mr. Nicely the meeting
adjourned at 5:`45 p.m.

March 22,1926. Meeting held in the officer of the Voard of Safety. at
4p.m. all members being present.
Bills for the fire department were ordered paid. Fire Chief
Roy Snoblockwas ordered to attend the state convention for Fire Chief's
at Lafayette, Ind. March 25, and 26. 3.
Requisitions for the Electric Dept. Nos. 9372) to ') were
approved.Potion prevailed that the dues of the Supt. of the Electrical
Department to the national organization of .Electricians .be paid.
Motion prevailed that Bills from 141 to 146 be paid by the
Police Department.
A petition signed by approximately 1,)3� residents of River
Park was presented to''the board by Mr. Witwer and a committee asking
that a new fire station be Erected in River Park. Mh$ion prevailed that
the board accept the petition and petition the Board of Public Saftety
for the erection of a new building Q house said fire -equipment in
