All members of the board present at 2 p.m. Mayor Montgomer,
Chief of police Hatt and. Asst. Chief Hamilton with present
four Captains. Mayor Montgomery explained. what was expected
of the Captains in the strict enforcement of the law and in
governing of the department, Following the talk of the iayor
Mr. Reed.etpy read "`notes on the proposed new rulebook for the
department the notes were approved and on motion were ordered
( prepared for the men within a week. It was announced by the
president that proposed changes in the police department would
be announced e:t the Monday night meeting of the board, notion
carried to adjourn until Monday at the regular meeting time 4 P.M.

No.23 was approved and ordered. paid.
Motion prevailed for the transfer of Capt. John Wentland
transferred from No. 7 hose Co., to truck 2 at No. 4 station. ,also Y
the transfer of David Fearkes from NoS to Central and Theo. Walters fro*:
Central to No. 5 company. -
T ition prevailed to place on file report of Electtical ti$
Dept. and the following requisitions were.approved Nos. 00719 to 11721
inclusive.
Weights and Measures Dept Requisition No. 1 approved.
Requisitions for the Police Dept, were allowed from No >s.2483 ;
to 2517 inclusive.
Bills for salaries and other items from Vouchers No.l -to
41 were approved and ordered.paid. Fire Department bills ;from l to j
7 were approved and ordered paid.
Applications for the following. men were accepted the
fire department and- ordered placed on file: Aloysius Pejza,Lloyd A• :a
Robinson,Peter Fabian, C*A. Hoglund. The following applicants for the
police department were accepted and ordered placed on file :John
Clemens,jamea McWeeny,Paul.Polinski,Alfred Foster,W lliam Hudak,.
Stanley Kwanski.
On motion of Mr., Nicely and , �;a second by Earl 'feeder the Board
ratified the following-:changes in the Police Department:

The time of wagonmen was changed from an.eight'hour
days to a 12)hour: day and Patrolman Parker and Savett were added
to the Sate shift beat i the down town section ,namely from
