Mayor Montgomery explained. what was expected of the Captains in the strict enforcement of the law and in governing of the department, Following the talk of the iayor Mr. Reed.etpy read "`notes on the proposed new rulebook for the department the notes were approved and on motion were ordered ( prepared for the men within a week. It was announced by the president that proposed changes in the police department would be announced e:t the Monday night meeting of the board, notion carried to adjourn until Monday at the regular meeting time 4 P.M. Weights and Measures Dept Requisition No. 1 approved. Requisitions for the Police Dept, were allowed from No >s.2483 ; to 2517 inclusive. Bills for salaries and other items from Vouchers No.l -to 41 were approved and ordered.paid. Fire Department bills ;from l to j 7 were approved and ordered paid. Applications for the following. men were accepted the fire department and- ordered placed on file: Aloysius Pejza,Lloyd A• :a Robinson,Peter Fabian, C*A. Hoglund. The following applicants for the police department were accepted and ordered placed on file :John Clemens,jamea McWeeny,Paul.Polinski,Alfred Foster,W lliam Hudak,. Stanley Kwanski.
