meeting called to.arcier at 5 P. M.. All memebre being present,
minutes of previous meeting'wereread and approved.
FIRE DEPARTMENT:- REaUIS IRIONS PRESENTED :&; APPROVED.
Numbers 1103 -1104 -1105 were approved.
Motion prevailed that fireman Lieut. Louis Lederer be premoted to
Captain same to take effect July 1925. 15th.
ELELCTRICAL DEPARTMENT :-
REOUSITIONS PRESENTE) & APPROVED.
Numbers 557 -to 563 'inclusive were approved.
Supt. Qualls presented iveeekljz report for theweek ending July 9th.
WEIGHTS & MEASURE DEPAR TRIN T : -
Reed I. Hawthorne, presented monthly report for the month of
June and weekly report for the week ending July 10th. 1925.
POLICE DEPARTMENT:-
REQUISTT,IONS PRESENTED & APPROVED.
Numbers 2182 to 2198 inclusive were approved..
Officer J. C. Myers, appeared before the board to explain the
accident he had on the night of •inly dth. at the corner of Division
and:So. iiiioh Strs. dames done to the Police Motorcycle were very
small the officer being exenorated and caution about fast driving.
The Board. went into session as a trial body to hear the following
charges which were prefered against officer Forrest D. Clark, charges
as follows:-
July 7th. 1925.
To the Board of Public Safety,
of the City of South Send..
I, the undersigned, heiarby prefer the following; charges against
pattrolman Forrest D.Clarkm a member of the Police Department of
said City. I charge that on the6th. day of July 1925, the said named
officer committed an assault upon me without just.cause or provocation
I futhur allege that at said time, III was not committing any breach
of peace and that I was in a place where I had a legal right to be.

The following witnesses were duly examined : - Officer Oral Hamilton,
Forrest D. Clark and T. 11yers.
The Board them went into session to consider testimony of the witnesses
after a public hearing and submission of testimony the board went
into session for the purpose of considering the testi000y heard the-
B6ard found officer Forrest Clark guilty as charges and he was
reprimanded and warhed not to appear befmve the Board again on
similar charge: Due to the fact that officer 0lark having admitted
that he had kicked Myers, he was not given a fine.,on account of splendid
