Motion preva1bed that the applications of Nicholas Roots, and Millard,
F. "Bok,, =for positions' in the police department were accepted and ordered

Off ficers -A B. Tholander. and. Louis.H ?; Meilke appeared before the
board to explaint the accident they had wi- the Patrol at the corner of
No Michigan and Howard'Strs* on Larch. ist, which damaged the fender of
Mr. E. G. Mc Donald's ear of this city they were exonerated due to the
condition of the pavement which was`�ery slippery at the time.

Motion -prevailed that the resigination of Earl Stacher, be accept -
- -wd same to take effect March 10th. 1925.
An .opinion was• received. from ciV attorney (Mr. Hammond.) relative
to bills received from Dr. (G.. A. Thompson, for services rendered injured
members of the Police & Fire Departments, stating that their was no
liability as their is no contract with Dr. C. A. Thompson, same being
merely verbal. and bills were ordered returned to Dr. Thompson, and unles
Dr._Thompson could show some agreement which would authorize payment of
these bills, and until.he did payment would be declined by.this Board.-_
