Mottiod prevailed that the application of Adolph Laskowski, for a position in the Police Department be accepted and placed on file. Officer 0. D. Hamilton, appeared before the Board regarding the automible accident.on the night of Aug. 25th. 1924 with the Police Ford and he was instructed to collect damages to city car from Mr. Kennit tic Dermott. same to be appiled to our account at the W. .R. Hinkle Inc. Garage. City. Officers. Serg't. Peffl.ey, and E. O..Nelson, and Dohald Snyder, appeared before the Beard to explain their accident with the Polices, Ford., and they werw cautioned regarding accidents with Police cars and they were instructed to collect for the damages to the city oar same to be applied to our account at the W. Lane, Chief of Police .ofAbe said City of South Bend, Indiana, hereby complains of officer� Adamski, now a member of the police force of the said City of South Bend, and For 6 first cause for the removal of said officer, says: That on or about the 30th day of August, 1924, the said officer Adamski, was guilty of conduct unbecoming an officer, immoral conduct and. neglect of duty, in this That on or about said. date, the said officer at a time when he had been ordered to patrol a certain beat to him theretofore designa- ted arid which beat it was his duty to patrol,at said time without report or without cause abandoned the patroling of said, beat and went to and entered a certain dwelling house in.said cit y of South Bend numbered lll* West Tutt Street in said City and therein petted and spooned with a certain woman. Lane, Chief of Police of the said Gity of South Bend, Indiana, hereby complains of Officer C � Henderson, now a member of the police force of the said city of South Bend, and i nor a. first cause for the removal of said officer, says: That n or about the 29th day of August , 1924. said officer • Henderson was guilty of conduct unbecoming an officer i °�f' neglect of duty and im�iioral conduct and of being absent from his duty without leave in that on or about said 29th day of August, 1924, the said officer at a time when he had been ordered by the undersigned to patrol a certain beat within said city, left said- beat and abandoned his duty to patrol his beat without lea =re and without reporting to his superior officer, a;}d went to a certain J house in said city of South Bend, Indiana known as 2112 'West Tutt Street in said city, for the purpose of a private Visit and not for' any purpose in any way connected with his duties as a policeman. For a second cause for removal, the undersigned says that said r officer is guilty of conduct unbecoming an officer, immoral conduct' r n an nealeet of duty, in that at a time Linen said officer was ordered to patrol a certain beat in said City os south Bend, said officer _i abandoned said patroling without any reason therefor and without re- porting to the undersigned or his superior officer of such abandon - ing said patroling and entered. a dwelling in said city of South Bend I` known as number 111 West `putt Street in said City, and drank intoxicating liquor.
