rgeeting called to order at 5 P. 1. All members being present,
minutes "of previous meeting were read and approved.
FIRE DEPARTMENT :_ -
ELECTRICAL DEPARTMENT:
Supt. Qualls, presented. weekly report for the
week ending June 5th. 1924.
Motion prevailed that the Board of Public Works, be petitioned"
to have battle ship7r elinoleum placed on -the floors at the new Police
& Fire Alarm bldg.
Motion,prevailed that the electrical bills peceived from the
Board of Public Works office for eleetricalcurrent for the operation
of the automatic signals was ordered returned to them for payment
as no appropriation was made to care for same by this department.
WEIGHTS & MEASURE DEPARTMENT : -
Reed I. Hawthorne, presented monthly report for the month of
May, also weekly report for the week ending Tune 6th. 1924.
Dr. C. A THOMPSON, presented monthly report for the month of May
POLICE DEPARTMENT : -
REQUISITIONS PRESENTED AND APPROVED.
1509 to 1538'inclusive were approved..
Motion prevailed that the application of Claude Keller, John
Zrinz Jr: Wills H. Sriver, Drank Pollom, Steve Paulinski, and
Chas. J. pifer.'for positions in the police department were ordered
placed on.file.
Mot'onnprevailed that the practice of parking automibles
upon the•sidewalks for demenstaation purposes and the selling of
chances on cars places on side walks is violation of both law and
ordinance and the Chief of Police was'i.n.strueted to enforce same.
