Motion prevailed that the arplications of William E. Gillen and Fredrick Weber for positions in the Fire Department we ordered placed on file. DEPARTMENT. REQUISITI'ONS PRESENV_ED AND 188. Printing APPROVED0 Supt. Qualis, presented weekly report for the week ending April 3rd. 1924. WEIGHTS & MEASURE DEPART MEN T:- Motion prevailed that Reed I. Hawthorne, is to attend a Annual Con4frence of the Weights & Measure inspectors of this state at Indianapolis, Ind. April 8th. & �th. 1924.'and his expenses are to be paid out of the Miscellaneous Fund of His Department. POLICE DEPARTMENT:- REQUSSITIONS PRESENTEE& APPROVED. Requisitions numbered 1375 to 1394 Inclusive. Motion prevailed that the contract forconotructing the cement bases for-the Automatic Signals Four (4) in all be given to C C. Miller, of this city contract price Ninety Dcllars,($90.00) Mr. Joseph Sweda'-s. Bid for the same work was One hundred and twenty Dollars.($120.00) Motion,prevailed that'offic'er Ellis Diver, is to receive.full pay during hi s illness. All,memebre being presa-rit, minutes of Drevions meeting.were read and approved. FIRE DEDARTME NT,- Chief Sibrel, being absent out of the city attending conference at Indianaplois, Ind.. Motion prevailed'that the resigination of Edward Mo Nulty, as a member of the Fire Department be accepted and that a letter be sent to Mr, Mo Nultry, expressing out apprficiation for his good and.,faithful services rendered this city Motion prevailed that the arDllcatiDns of Valentine Dlyniczak, and .3. C. Evans, for positi.o.yjs in the Fire Department were accepted and ordered placed on file. The-following men appeared before the Board and were questioned regarding their ap-plications for POsitionsfon the Fire department, J. 0. Evans, Clarence E. Wallis, Earl R.
