ending. January 25th. 1924.
POLICE DEPARTMENT : -
Motion prevailed that Chief Lane, is authori7,ed to purchase
four (4).horses at an average cost not to exceed two hundred
($200.00) each.
Motion prevailed that trial installation be made of the
four corner automatic signal manufactured by the Klug & Smith co.
Of Milwaukee, Wis. at the corner of Washington Ave. & LaFayette _
St.,on a 60 Day trial Installation expenses to be.borne by the
city!,,
Motion prevailed that the application of Arthur J. Austin,
for reinstatement as a member of the Police Dep't.'was rejected
on account of ages
Motion prevailed that the following applications for
Positions in the police department were ordered placed on file
Walter.Modraeki, Frank.C..Misener., and Leo. M. Kwasneck3.

Motion prevailed that Paul A. Heiermann, be appointed as
secretary of the Police Department at an year1JT salary of Three
Hundred Dollars (300.00) same to take effect-.February lst. 1924.

Motion prevailed that the Bonds of officers H. R. Wil on,
Harry S. Ambs, and Edward V. Morris. as principals and the ational

C. A. Hammond, Chas. C. Wv.thrich and_ Ernest 0. Nelson for positions
in the Police Department were ordered placed on file.
