Bening , being out of the city attending the convention.at Reading, P a. no reports were received WEIGHTS & MEASURE DEPARTMENT:- REQUISITION PRESENTED & APPROVED. 38. Use of Auto for the .month of Mo. Sept. Reed I. Hawthorne, presented weekly report for the week ending Sept. 28th. 1323. POLICE DEPAR TMEN T : - REOUISITIONS PRESENTED & APPROVED. 1091 to 1096 Inclusive were approved.. Motion prevailed that the Bond of Sylvester Zell, as principal and.the National Surety Co. as Surety, for One Thousand dollars, was Approved. Claude E. Books and Joseph Lavitt, appeared before the board and, were questioned regarding their applications for positions in the police department and they wer both requested to take the Physical examination, and report for duty if passed. Motion prevailed that the peti6ton of tam. Neher, for-:reinstate- ment as a member of the Police department be placed on file.
