Motion prevailed that the applications of Wm. F. Myers, Frank
D. Byers, and Edwin N. Laskowski, for position in the Fire Department
be accepted and placed on file.

POLICE DEPARTMENT:-
A letter was received from Mayor Seebirt, with a pertition attached
from the residents of the 700 block So. Main. st., declairing the
parking of Automibles in-frot of the residents in this block a
Nuis&nce, which was refered to Chief lane.
Notion prevailed that Detective James J. Cutting, _be granted.
a(5) Five day leave of absence in addition to his regular vacation
time.
Motion -orevailed that the resigination of Offic,er Joseph J.---Welsh,
be accepted. same taking effect,,,Tu:ne 14th.
.Motion -orevail-ed that a speaking tube be installed in the new
Patrol wagon from the rear to the driver's seat. also an extra str6cher
be installed in new patrol,.
A letter was received from Cyrus E.. Pattee, atty. requesting that
the City atty. Mr. ' Hammond should appear in the tr,!kAl of officer
Mike Zepka, for false arrest brought by Fred Kue s pert of this city.
Motion prevailed.that Mr. Hammond. (City Atty.) be requested to appear
at this trial and assist Mr. Cyrus E. Pattee. as same is a City matter.
Motion - prevailedthat a requisition be issued to Plug & Smith-Co.,
for the Automatic Signal installed at the corner of Main & geffex-son
Sts. which has proven satisfactory after the 30day trial inistallation
