Mr. Taylor of the Taylor Tire Shop this city appeared before the
Board and presented a Statement for Tires & Tubes Purchased during the
year of 1920 which he claims has never been paid, The Clerk of the
Board and Serg'T gemerly were requested to investigate and make a
report at the next meeting regaid.ing same.
A letter was received from Mayor Seebirt calling attention to
the fact that ordi.nances,fixing tha.annual tax levy and appropriatings
money for this department which shall be made by the Common Council
on or befor the First Monday of September. which was placed on file.
Motion prevailed that the Position held by Clarence Stingham
in the Police Department be declared vacant on July lst, having been
suspended by Chief Lane.
Cdr. Howard Hagedorn, a member of the Hagedorn & Webster firm
of this City appeared befor the Board and Quoted prices on Harley -
Davidson motorcycles, Mr. Frank .Andrews & Son P- Tipeared befor. the Baoard
and quoted prices,on Handerson Motorcycles r.a}Mr. Freeman of Chicago,
a represenative of the, Indian 11otorcylle Co. also appeared befote
Board and explained the Indian motorcycle but was unable to Quote
price's on 1923_ Model machines,
Motion prevailed that Mr. Frank Andrevie be given the order for
a new Hendreson motorcycle the same style machine as purchased from
him April 7, 1922: price dor machine fully equipped $ 447.75
Motion prevailed that the application of Otto H. Hinkson for
a position in the Police Department be rejected.
