Communication wa.s received. from Dr. Charles S. Bosenbury,
Secretary Board of Health, asking that the Board detail to the
Health Dena.rtment, Officers L emuel H. Essex and John E. Stickley to
serve as sanitary Officers.'

Motion prevailed that the rank of .Captain of Detectives be
established to have charge of the Detective Bureau of the Police force.
Chief lane presented a' communication received by him from
— S. Lesh, A ;torney General of the Stateof Indiana, in 4vhich he
stated that upon request of Ilan.. Harry 1% Daugherty, Attorney- General
of the United States, he had arranged for a conference to be held at
the Douse of 14epresent;a.tives, Indianapolis, ffednesday, January 11, 1922,
at 1 ;30 P-1 for the purpose of holdin- a conference betweon the
-Federal and State law enforciZg officers, with a view of briig'g about
a closer relation a - rid habits of co- operation between these officers in
their efforts to secure a better enforcement of Federal and State Lams,
especially the laws ag'<a,iast liquor r:.Ind the food and fuel supply laws,
and asking for the presence of the Chief.
Lotion prevailed that Chief Lane be ordered to attend said
conference and that his expenses be paid which may be incurred attendin€r
the same. Idotion preva' led to adjourn.
