AN ORDINANCE APPROPRIATING $40,000 WITHIN THE U.D.A.G. FUND
(FUND 410) FOR THE PURPOSE OF FUNDING PREDEVELOPMENT COSTS
Statement of Purse and Intent:
In order to assure the efficient and timely utilization of Urban Development Action
Grant Reimbursement Funds and to further the implementation of the redevelopment
plans within the City, certain appropriations are necessary.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Common Council of the City of
South Bend, Indiana, as follows:
SECTION I. The sum of 540,000 is hereby appropriated within Fund 410 for
predevelopment costs.
SECTION II. This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its
passage by the Common Council and approval by the Mayor.

The attached bill for your consideration and approval will appropriate 540,000 of Urban
Development Action Grant reimbursement for predevelopment costs associated with
potential projects primarily within the South Bend Central Development Area.
Predevelopment costs include plan development, architectural, engineering and design
work, appraisals, title searches, market studies surveys, etc. for various potential
