A special meeting of the Board of Public Works was convened at
1:55 p.m. on Friday, May 19, 1978 by Chairman Pro -Tem Peter H.
Mullen with Mr. Mullen and Mr. Brunner present. The Clerk
reported that the special meeting was posted and members of the
news media were notified.
APPROVAL OF CHET WAGGONER LITTLE LEAGUE PARADE
Mr. Mullen explained that the purpose of the special meeting was
to consider a request of the Chet Waggoner Little League to
hold a parade on Saturday, May 20, 1978. The route for the
parade is as follows:
Assemble at the Knights of Columbus Parking Lot at 8:30 a.m.
Parade to proceed south on Main Street to Navarre, west on
Navarre to Portage, Portage to Boland Drive, Boland Drive to
Riverside Drive and Riverside Drive to the Little League Park.
The Bureau of Traffic and Lighting submitted a report to the
Board indicating that the route has been reviewed with the
Police Department Traffic Detail and approval is recommended.
A police escort will be furnished. Upon motion made by Mr.
Brunner, seconded by Mr. Mullen and carried, the Board approved
the parade for the Chet Waggoner Little League, as outlined above,
subject to receipt of the required insurance.
There being no further business to come before the Board, upon
motion made by Mr. Mullen, seconded by Mr. Brunner and carried,
the special meeting adjourned at 2:00 p.m.
