The monthly report for November, 1956 of the Weights & Measures Department as
submitted by Bert S. Cichowicz, City Sealer, was accepted and placed on file.
Special policemen's bonds were approved for Glen Francis Lowry.
An officer's report was received and placed on file fromt.Officer Jenson which
was dated November, 26, 1956.
Application for the Police Department was examinaed and placed on file for
Lucius Hudson.
Applications were examined and placed on file for the Police Auxiliary School
Patrol for Elizabeth Jane Seanor and Irene Marguerite Grall.
There being no further business to come before the Board, the mee Ing was ad-
journed at 10:30 A.M.

A special meeting of the Board of Public Safety was held on Wednesday, Novem-
ber 28, 1956 at 2:30 P.M. All members were present.
First appeared before the Board the Cha.L iro% n,' ofi =thiaeHtinggrrana Rblief Committee
with reference to request permission to set aside December 15, 1956 for the Hungarian
Relief Tag Day. Permission granted.
Next piece of business on the agenda for this meeting is the applications of
Edward Peters and Guy Gilligan of the City of South Bend Fire Department requesting
the payment of disability pension of $216.19 per month or 55 per cent of a fully
paid first class firemen's salary. Said applications having been acted upon favorably
by the Firemen's Pension Fund, the Board hereby accepts and approves the requests of
Peters and Gilligan.
There being no further business to come, before the Board the meeting was ad-
